    How to keep a job?

Okay so I'm 18 and have recently gotten a job. It's only part time but I work all week from 5:30am to later through the afteroon. So I get up and get ready at like 4 in the morning. Now I'm my job isn't exactly the best paying job nor the best job. But it involves alot of repetitve work and you always have to be on your feet and moving. Now I love the fact that I have a job (finally) and that I'm earning extra cash but I just keep feeling as if I'm going to wake up one day and not have the "urge" to go. Now I'm a type of person who doesn't give up on things, but I am a person who struggles alot with keeping things going etc etc.

I know this is probably a stupid question but I really need some guidance from some people who work a IRL job that can be shitty at times and how they overcome the problems of being able to keep a job?

Honestly I'm just really looking for some extra inspiration and some advice if possible. Thanks guys, once again. I apoligise if the question comes across stupid or whatever. :p

Honestly just think of the money. You're going to get that paycheck at the end of the week and when you do you're going to be happy. A day at a time just keep telling yourself that.

If you do this you'll end up not enjoying your job.

    How to keep a job?

Sometimes we don't have a choice at the age of 18. We have to work what odd job we may get our hands on (for experience) before we can move onto another one.

As it's been suggested, think of the money you'll get or the things you'll be able to get with the money. Don't blow your money like that, utilize it well (on projects and whatnot).

    How to keep a job?

Think of what motivates u to do the job in the first place and what u wouldnt have if u didnt have that job. Have a goal in mind and work toward accomplishing it like certain amount of savings/work experience etc

No offense or anything but you're the type of person that makes people like me soar through positions at normal jobs, I love it.

I was just like you (more-so when I was 15), but quickly realized not only are jobs like this easy, but I could actually advance and make much more doing less. Don't matter if I was frying chicken or a sales rep at sprint. You need to build a new outlook on your job. Take it as a challenge every day and feed off of the knowledge you gain from it (you can learn something everywhere). It sounds like this might be your first job(No?), so a word of advice is don't fuck up your future by acting like a jackass. I typically fire people quicker than the "urge" not to show up happens. If you wanna be lazy, that's fine - no one is to say no to you, but why not just not have a job until you mature up a little bit. It's going to look a lot better when you have to finally have to get another job. I'd much rather be able to put I quit previous jobs on my own as oppose to being fired (and especially as a NC;NS).

I know you start early, that does suck but it becomes a routine after awhile. My very first job was at early 13 doing lawn services for a shit ton of clients. Houses, churches, businesses, etc. Weekends during school, whenever during summer. Be there at 5 AM, so waking up at 4 is if I was running late. THAT SHIT was tiring. But if you hang in there and do good, you'll end up like me doing nothing all day at work but sitting around, listening to my music, and watching netflix/streams..

    Do you live alone?

Yeah, cannot agree more. Think about what you want most and forget the pains. Actually, we do not have so many choices in a certain period. If you can overcome all the difficulties, you will become mature.

Money is something we need to make ourselves better, both for the material life and the spirit world.

Read this over and over and over. This user knows a thing or two about work, as we all see. Key thing is to NOT get FIRED! Quitting is soo much better on your future resume.

We all gotta start somewhere. The difference between those who are in that kinda job forever and those that progress is called determination. Stick at it, get a flaming good reference and make something of yourself - nobody will do it for you cause its a dog eat dog world out there and if you dont wanna put the work in someone else will.

Try to motivate yourself with money and enjoy the work since you work for money. That's the advice. Pretty simple huh.

    How to keep a job?

I'm a part-time manager where I work, and so I deal with shitty people and shitty things all the time, including literal shit on the walls in the washroom (it's happened!). What keeps me going, honestly, is the people. I love every single person who works there, including my bosses. I work hard and keep with it because I don't want to disappoint people I consider to be close friends.

My tips: fuck that job if you don't like it and find something you do like. Small businesses are good (note: not family businesses! those usually suck dick) because the people end up becoming tight like a family. Even retail stores can get like this. I worked at a small retail electronics store for a bit with only 5 people in total employed there. It was a good job.

If you make your job feel like it's just hanging out with friends, you'll enjoy it a lot more.

    How to keep a job?

From personal experience, social interactions at work help tenfold with staying motivated/keeping up appearances. You've really got to enjoy your working environment to be able to enjoy working there, if you're working with a bunch of assholes and ignorant shits then the job quickly becomes, tedious, boring and a place you dislike turning up to. As long as you're putting in good hours too, the paycheck at the end of the month is usually motivation in itself ;)

    How to keep a job?

If you want to move up steadily in the normal working world, here's how you do it: Use this job as a stepping stone to get a better job. Here's how this works-

    >You currently work a relatively shitty job, but you like the money you get from it
    >Devote energy into this job and stay on reasonably good terms with your boss/manager by showing up to work early/on time, taking reasonably short breaks, being reasonably friendly to customers, and taking your job seriously.
    >You now have a reference and resume experience. Look up some resume guides, write a resume, have your family review it or PM it to people who are interested in reviewing it from the personal support forum (block any needlessly revealing personal info)
    >Practice interview skills with friends/parents or any community leader
    >Take advantage of free education experiences, save your money
    >If you are addicted to something hazardous to your health and/or expensive, quit. This means quitting cigarettes, one less cigarette per day each week. This means breaking your caffeine addiction (tea, coffee, soft drinks especially) Your alcoholism possibly? Other substances? They will help you focus on education/jobs and save money
    >Avoid or moderate people and things that needlessly waste your time without a significant personal or tangible payoff
    >Focus on your diet/exercise and general health

    _______________________

If you make a list with one thing on each of these subjects and work on it in your spare time, you can conquer almost any poor employment aspect, and get a relatively high paying job even at a young age, hopefully without having to sacrifice too much. Here's how to make that job pay tier 2 money-

    >Get a trade degree from a community college, or any college courses of some sort that earns you accredditation to advance your education
    >Make business connections, keep up with current events, learn to play golf, keep up with style
    >Be willing to travel

    __________________

These are just the easiest most efficient ways to secure better, higher paying jobs, and using the money that you get from those jobs more efficiently.

Go hand out resumes for a field you'd be more interested in, secure a job and quit. You will never be happy doing something you don't like.

Some people keep a job because of money BUT there usually doing something they Enjoy. They need it for there bills living costs and all that. Maybe you need to motivate urself by telling yourself what would happen if you werent getting paid or being supported by someone else.
