PTSD meds making me sick

hey guy i suffer from PTSD and panic attacks and the medicine i take makes me throw up in 30 mins from taking it.. every morning and every night. i cant change meds cuz its the only ones i can afford.. what should i do?

 

I'm not sure how the system works in America. Do you not get prescriptions through insurance?

i get them through insurance buy my insurance company will only pay for the kind im taking.

so im stuck

and weed is not an option im in a dry state

maybe if you present a doctors note showing the medication is detrimental to your health and send it to them they will agree to cover a new medication?

have you tried counselling or any support groups? feeling good about yourself and talking about your problems will be more beneficial in the long term and can mean a life without medication in some cases

also have a psr worker.

 

Don't be so quick to jump to medication man. Support groups will help you a lot more then any prescription drug

 

I find it hard to believe that your insurance discriminates against different companies per federal health act, aka - it's against the law to only support one diagnostic medicine.

A lot of times PTSD can not be controlled and requires medicine to moderate symptoms.

 

its called medicare. they wont let you get medicince that costs them too much

 

If he has medicare then they do limit which medications you are allowed. Usually they only cover generics or low dose medications.

 

Have you considered attempting to apply for a full-time job?

ALL full-time jobs at companies with more than 5 employees are required by law to offer private healthcare. Sure it'll be some $$$ out of your paycheck, but hopefully you can get your own choice medication and get off tax payers' cheap asses.

i work part time but also have physical disables that make it so most jobs just aren't do-able

 

For what rule? I'm just saying, taxpayers are cheap as fuck. Ofc they won't let you pick your medication! However most private insurance providers are more likely to work with you!
