How long did it took you to forget your ex ?

So here's a little of my story guys : 2 years , nah even more than 2years ago i used to be with a girl , i was younger ,stupidier , and a lazy fucking ass weed smoker . I started smoking as hell because of a past girlfriend that made my life mesirable so i felt like fleeing from it , because high all the time kinda helped . I'd say im kinda affective dependant when i love someone , other than that i can be with lot of girls that i won't give a fucking fuck .

So there was this girl , really my kind of girl physicially talking , she was really sarcastif like i and we could have hours of laughs talking about everything and making fun of everything , being a old hip hop school listeners i would love to ''feel'' the beat and ''dance'' like they do in their hip hop videos , rather than laugh about me like most of the people would do when i get in my bubble , she would do the same , that where i felt in love . We would wake up to Mad Izm of Channel live , i'd know most of the verse would sing them and she would follow me , lots of things like that . I've lost her because of her mom , her mom would say i was manipulator , jalous and possesive , which i've never been but i think she made me changed into that . She made us broke together , would never see her again , neither talk to her .

Times have past , girls have past , and even some girls i would stay with them like 4-5 months , would always end up breaking with them for shitty reasons , but i know its because i'Ve never been over my ex . I feel like i'm never gonna get over it , people say time will , meeting new people would help , but im tired of doing it , tired of trying to forget her with shitty girls .

My question is ; Anyone ever felt this ? anyone ever been through this ? If so , how long did it took you ?

Yeah i mean i totally accept it , even though i know if i was where i am today inthe past it could've been working longer , even if nothing last forever , got lot of remorses ... my question was mostly ; will i ever be able to love another women like ive loved her ?

 

If anything man try to learn something from your prior relationship. Things do end but as many have come to realize that your mistakes lead you to bigger, better things. Without mistakes we won't learn and if we don't learn we'll never be better.

The feeling will pass, and when that does happen your eyes will open to see more of those around you and will have a better idea of what not to do in your next relationship.

Instead of focusing on trying to find a relationship focus on doing things that you enjoy doing. Through those hopefully you'll find someone that suits you perfectly.

Roary is right u will always have a soft spot for ur exes but who knows maybe it's a plan for u to meet someone better. U always have to be hopeful it may be a hard journey aft a breakup but u have to believe and look on the brighter sight of things. Wish u all the best with ur life man and hopefully u will meet ur real soulmate whom u can spend the rest of ur life with and live happily together

 

My last ex was a GF for a near week. Found out it was a big scheme. Still not forgot after 2 months.

 

I was together with a girl when I was 17, who was my first relationship, lost virginity there, etc.

We were together for 10 months. I didnt treat her well enough, she cheated, things went out of hand fairly quickly.

It took me a rough 15 months to completely get over her. @Roary, I think it's actually possible to completely get over it and just have memories. I've been with many other girls since and I never looked back or compared her to others, etcetc.

 

This essentially, if it was a long term relationship you will never forget. Best you can do is try and move on.

 

DAFUQ MAN!?!?! You didn't treat her well enough? Say it as it was, she cheated on you and that's not your fault for crying out loud. It's just insane how men keep white knighting it "I was to blame, women are angels".

 

I dont mean in the sense that you'll never meet someone the same or better or you'll prefer your exes. Just that you'll probably always stop and think of them often.

 

Thanks for replies guys , and the girl you've forgot in 15 minutes trust me she just wasn't worth it , she wasn't worth being treated good so why would she be worth being sad or thinking about her after a break up ? I didnt always been the best neither was she , we never cheated on eachothers but she was too much like me , kinda like she was a girl version of me , that's why im having trouble still today after 2 years to get over it she wasn't my first real girlfriend , neither the one i lost my virginity ... etc that girl took me like 1-2 months to forget the one that first ''touched'' my heart , i don't know why but that one that i lost 2 years ago was pretty much THE shit. Mistakes i've made trying to recreate with every girls ive been with since to have the same relation as we had .

Well the longest relationship I was in was about 6 months. I was kinda happy when she broke it off, was getting sick of her bull shit and crying all the time.

 

I feel this way with my sons mom, it makes it hard because I still have to see her every weekend. I have had other relationships (one over a year) but I literally think about her every day and we have been apart 4 years. I am not sure if it will ever go away.

 

I've just taken the route of insulting her in idle conversation all the time. Not the best course of action but it happened and you won't forget it so you'll have to find a way to deal.

I strongly agree with you, that you simply can not forget this. My first relationship... 2 years. Lost my virginity etc also. Im 19 at the moment. The positive thing is, that we are still together, even our parents are good friends. We live near to each other. Her house is like my other home. I am happy with her. Scariest thing for me is that - IF one day it happens... the bad thing.. What do I do? I could never forget about her and move on.. My world could collapse.. Yep its better not to think about this ;p

I am 7 months in already since the last one. Seeing someone else but I still occasionally think of my ex.
And while I was with my ex I would occasionally think about the girl before her.
And when I was with the girl before her I would occasionally think about the one before....
Sadly it is part of relationships mate. If you spent a lot of time with someone you will never forget them.
