So I have been threatened many times before which no one has actually gone through with them but in the last couple of weeks I have been getting threats from a guy a year younger than me. I see him every day because he studies at the same place I do, anyway he has been saying things like "I'm going to beat your head in until your skull breaks" or "Im going to king hit you in the temple". Immature things like that. It wasn't only today when he screamed out my address and said "can't wait to visit you".

The only reason why I am concerned is because he is a bit of a nut case. I do not want my house to be broken in to or even worse, my animals being taken and what not. What should I do? Would the cops even care?

Edit: I have done NOTHING to this guy, this is why I find it odd. I have never met him nor have I talked to him, he has started this out of the blue

It depends where you live to be honest as to whether the police can do anything. If you're in Australia, just go to the police and say you fear that he will be violent to you in the very near future, and that the fear you have is ongoing.

^You could get a restraining order if you feel threatened. This is what it's like in New Zealand: http://www.justice.govt.nz/courts/civil/civil-disputes/restraining-orders

Harassment has a legal definition. Under the Harassment Act 1997, it is defined by "specific acts" which have happened on at least two separate occasions within a period of 12 months.

    These acts could include:

    following a person
entering someone's property without their permission
harassment through phone calls or letters
    giving offensive material
doing something that makes someone fear for his/her safety.

Why should I give up somewhere I have been going to for several years for a drop kick that loves to start things?

Police will take it seriously, especially here in Australia. Reason being, 5-6 people have passed away over the last 2 years from 'King Hits', which happened on popular club streets.

All those cases were extensively covered by the media, and the public support behind enforcing stronger penalties was huge.

Well they could be guilty of an assault, depending on a few other circumstances. As for what the police would do, I'm sure they'd follow whatever procedure there is when someone reports an assault.

They can't do something about every single report of harrassment or threatening language; there'd be no police resources for anything else. You can get a restraining order filed but they can't physically stop him doing anything like damaging property or taking property. Which is what OP is worried about most.

Example; the kid puts a brick through the window, no evidence.

The best things you can do is either try to record every incident of behaviour down on paper and make it a police matter or just take matters in to your own hands, punch this kid and never hear a word from him again.

What did you do to provoke an encounter of this nature? I'm sure nobody would just out of the blue start screaming at you?

Luckily, I'm out of school but this brings back memories... (lol)

    It's a 2 way street:
1.) You don't want to look like a bitch
2.) You don't want to fight

I've had many scenarios from guys who were literally twice my size, to guys who were the same size and I usually treated each one the same. I never went out of my way to avoid a situation, but I did my best to never instigate the situation.

You could always carry a knife, but if this is pertaining to school, then you obviously can't. So, you're going to need some other options, (eg. speak to an adult (principal/teacher) or leave school 5 minutes early for the next few weeks till the heat dies down). Of course you know there's other ways that could resolve this situation in a much more stern way, by speaking with a staff member of your school (if this is at school) and have him spoken with along with his parents who would end up hopefully putting an end to it (that's usually what a school would hope for), but then he will find out you told and tell everyone and that just makes you look bad, unfortunately due the way schools are.

If this isn't pertaining to school, then you can't really call the cops because it would all just be 'hear say.' Trust me, harassment and 'stay-away' charges are some of the hardest charges to put on someone and are a huge loop hole in the system right now. Often times, even murders could have been prevented on shows I've watched if that person were able to file charges before being killed, but it ends up being too late. That's a bit more of an extreme case, but you get the point.

I'm actually off to bed, but just know that eventually this idiot will find another individual to bully and take his anger out on.

I bet your "I didnt do anything!" excuse is used for when those OTHER people threatened you huh. It sounds to me you may be doing something to bring this onto yourself since its happened multiple times. Fight him, either take your licks or beat his ass but nut up and do something .

Because that "drop kick" is going to beat your ass . End of story . People will respect you far more for just fighting and taking your licks or by some off chance winning over being a little taddletale or snitch. Snitches get stiches (its true!) And arent those what you are trying to avoid??

Something to look into is your local laws regarding defending oneself on YOUR property, in Texas and several states we have the "Castle Law" meaning my place of work, vehicle and home ia my "castle" and I have the right to defend it by ANY means necessary. If someone were to threaten me at my own house or yard I would be entirely within the law shooting and even killing them.

Hey there mr.ceetz, seems like you're in a real difficult situation to deal with. Is there anything else you could tell us about the aggressor?

There are people that'll kick you when you're down, especially if they don't see any resistance. Being assertive (not to be mistaken for being aggressive) is one way of dealing with the situation. Making a stand doesn't necessarily mean you end up fighting him.

Some bullies like going for 'easy targets' to make up for the misfortunes they have in their lives. Unfortunately for you, you're that guy. You can change that, you have the power to. You also do have the option to call the authorities, which may or may not roll out how you would like it to.

Hope everything works out well for you man, let us know how it all turns out.

Yea, but I'm saying if the issue escalated.

Wouldn't say punching him is the best solution. May lead to a worse situation.

Grassing on someone who then knows you're intimidated is worse.
