    Panic attacks

Today I had a really bad panic attack that lasted for about 45 minutes, I couldn't breath, or walk and cried until I had to lay down and forced myself to sleep. I have a phobia of choking, ever since I was a child it's been one of my greatest fears and I have tonsillitis, basically there's holes in my tonsils that gather food and other particles and form pea sized rocks that irritate that back of my mouth.

Today was the worst experience I've had so far with my tonsils, the tonsil stone was unreachable and hidden but it kept stabbing and scratching my tongue that it made me feel like I was choking. I tried everything to swallow it down, but it's the unknown that scares me the most, for example how big is the tonsil stone exactly and when is it gonna fall out because I need to swallow it once it comes out and sometimes I get no warning and it takes my breath away.

I've been to the doctors and I doctors have very little concern about my tonsils, I've been told it's not that bad and livable and I'm not able to get my tonsils removed.

Anyways, my mother thinks I'm crazy when I have my panic attacks, she repeating screams at me that I'm fine and to knock it off and to go calm down, which does help sometimes but unlike today it just made me more agitated. I don't feel like I'm crazy, although when it gets to the point where I'm on the floor pulling my hair out and crying I can see were her concern about my mentality comes into question.

I'm just really afraid, and the tonsil stone is still there right now but it's not as bad as it was during my panic attack and I'm able to control myself better after I slept. Right now I'm neutral, completely fine but I can see myself being a lot worst if I was home alone.

I guess I'm posting this just to see if anyone else has similar problems with their tonsils and how they cope with the issue at hand. Sometimes I feel like I need to be on medication but the only time I have a panic attack is when I'm choking on something and that happens maybe once a year?

Is there anything that will bring down the swelling of the stone so it's not as irritating? Maybe letting a few ice cubes melt in the back of your throat would help.

Have you ever considered having your tonsils removed...?

I would try going to another doctor if it's bothering you that much and get their opinion on it. What country do you live in if you don't mind me asking?
