Ever felt contempt/happy with not dating?

Ever felt happier being alone, then not being with someone? I've been trying to talk to this one girl for awhile now, and I would love to get closer to her and everything, but when I get to that point, I completely lose all wanting. Ever had that happen to you before? Or am I just weird?

 

Listen. If you're going to be that way, don't go stealing some girls heart knowing you're just going to throw it away. I'm not a girl, but I know how it feels. It really hurts.

 

I've had that feeling before as well, I just think it means that you didn't find the right person for you yet.

 

The same thing used to happen to me before I met my ex, it sounds like you're more interested in the chase like I was, someone wouldn't be very interested in you and then you'd get them more and more interested in you and once they actually like you it's boring, the chase is over, as hypocritical as it is to say you need to break that habit because you're really going to hurt somebody.

Once I met my ex the whole "cat and mouse" game was over, I was actually happy being with someone, so just give it a break unless you feel you're really interested.

 

You can be in to someone and be with someone and not want to be with them all the time. You're human and you can't always be with the same people all the time or seeing them isn't anything special.

While what the above people said is true also, this gives another perspective to look at this from.

 

people in general are horrible. only a select few will not make you sad or fuck you over in the end. but humans do need to interact

 

You need to wait and make sure you find the person whom is going to make you happy.

 

Bah, this thread for me at least is done with. xD I actually started talking toa girl and things have been going great.

I have different opinions towards it, sometimes thinking of having a girlfriend is a burden, but having one is just amazing, someone who cares for you just as much as you care for them is just great :3

 

Sometimes we need our space, but as humans we desire and crave companionship.
