    How do i eat healthier?

    I dont want to completely change myself,And this post isnt as "deep" as others but how do i start eating healthy? I feel so filthy and i always eat pop-tarts,Microwave pizza,Chips so much lately and i tried to eat healthy and i literally vomit in my mouth...Obviously not a food sign. Any tips for me to avoid eating unhealthy? Some tips that will help me eat healthy more in general. Im not really overweight. I used to be but i lost weight when i had a bike,But i dont really want to lose weight,I just want to eat healthy so i dont feel dirty. I never feel good after eating unhealthy. I managed to keep myself away from soft drinks so much,I always drink water without thinking about it and i want to do that with food but its not as easy. Any tips?

    Just look up tasty, healthy meals & snacks - there's millions of sites and books out there dedicated to it.

    It's hard, but you don't want to end up overweight with heart problems ;)

    Who makes your food? Looks to me like you have ended up eating what is easy to make, instead whether it is healthy or not.

    And what do you mean by throwing up in your mouth? Is it because you dont like the taste of healthy food, or when you eat it, good or bad, you still vomit? Ill need more details before giving advice.

    It may sound silly or too easy, but just stop buying unhealthy food. Instead buying pop tarts, just buy some bananas or some other fruit or something. Just see what you buy now, then replace it with a healthier option.
    If your mother buys it or something, then just ask her to do the same.

    Also, use a little will power :p

    What time do you sleep at generally? Do you get enough sleep on a daily basis?

    There is a strong correlation between a distorted sleeping pattern and lack of sleep, when it comes to ones want for junk/unhealthy food.

    I'd recommend eating one healthy thing along side of the unhealthy things that you do like to eat. For example, if your eating a microwaved pizza, eat some salad, fruit, or vegetables on the side. Over time your body will get used to the healthy food and it should start to be some what appealing for your tastes.

    You have to make gradual changes to your diet.

    A nutrition major at my school was helping some of the potential ROTC cadets get fit and loose weight if necessary. She said that we need to slowly wind off the junkfood, not all at once, but somewhat.

    She said the goal was to get:
    80% Healthy Foods
    20% Unhealthy Foods

    Try to eliminate sodas if you can. Get those 0 calorie mixes that make your water taste like ice tea. Although they also have sugar, it will help to eliminate a few hundred calories a day from your died.

    Also stay away from fatty red meats like sausage, pepperoni, etc. Try healthier poultry like drum sticks, or chicken breast!

    So I'am about 260 lbs 5"9 and what I have done so far was eliminate soda cold turkey. Usually I drink about a 1 1/2 litters of soda a day specifically Coke. I have stopped for about a month now only drinking milk, small amount of juice, water, and green tea that I brewed with no sugar and a little of honey. Now I have stopped eating fast food as well and if I do eat fast food it is a small hamburger that it not like the meal deals I ate. I guess the point I'm making is that it's about control and knowing what's best for you. So far no weight loss for me though maybe I should think about getting my ass off of this computer and walk more often.

    It really boils down to mindset and discipline. I used to drink tons of soda and eat like crap (uni cafeteria will do that to ya). When I got my own apartment I'd grab fast food or make hot pockets half the time since it was easy and convenient.

    Once I started lifting my eating habits changed since my goal was to hit the macros I set for myself. When I was shopping at the grocery store I simply wouldn't allow myself to buy junk food items that I normally did, and stuck to what I wrote down on my grocery list. Just tell yourself not to eat certain foods/drinks and stick to it. It'll suck in the beginning and you may cave once or twice, but after a while it'll become a habit to ask for a glass of ice water instead of a Coke.

    if you have the money, you can try this drink called Shakeology, its really great, though a little expensive, tastes great, cleanses and de-toxifies the body, while helping you lose weight ;p just eat things like jacket potatos, pasta, any fruits/veg etc.

    It all starts with how you feel about eating. I eat when I'm bored and usually I prefer leftovers from the day before when I snack. I usually eat 5 what you would call meals a day. These range from like leftover chicken to leftover pasta. My favorite snacks for when I'm on the go are things like vegetables such as cucumbers and red peppers. When I'm sitting around at home doing homework I often have a bag of frozen grapes (destem grapes and freeze them). These are like the firmest most delicious grapes you can eat and they are kind of like a cold treat. This is my method of eating healthy. This may or may not work for you but opting for healthier snacks and less fast food is the difference.

    Go to your local gym or grocery store and buy a diet plan. They don't cost much.

    This works for me. Surround yourself with healthier food options and get rid of most of the unhealthy things. It is unrealistic for you to stop eating unhealthy completely. Usually a good thing to have during the week is a "cheat" day. A "cheat" day is basically a day where you just eat what you want within reason and don't worry about it. The other days of the week focus on healthier smaller portioned meals and surrounding yourself with healthy foods! You can't eat unhealthy food if unhealthy food is nowhere to be found...

    If you look online, you can follow "If it fits your macros". It's a way to still eat the foods you like but you also incorporate the needs of your body and limiting the food you eat. It's generally what I follow and it seems to work pretty well for me.

    I do occasionally go for the cheat meal every now and then haha

    There is nothing wrong with microwave food and the so labeled ''junk'' food.
    There are many recipes on the internet that includes healty and tasty food.
    You should google a bit of your free time and select something that looks delicious and prepare it yourself. The food you make yourself is ALWAYS more healthier and delicous. Even a home made pizza is healty.

    If you don't end up buying healthier foods at least think about what's in the poptarts, potato chips, etc. All those Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO's) and MSG's are really bad for you. Along with all the other chemicals used to preserve and make that "food". Try finding organic foods. Part of the reason you feel so gross is because your eating gross food. If you get around to it. Try drinking a glass of regular store milk and then try a glass of organic milk. I found the taste 100x better..

    just try to avoid stores when going home, pickup some healthy foods instead of fatty foods while grocery shopping

    You might want to try finding a eating / exercise plan online! There are many out there that you can get and follow it daily. I am currently doing this and I not only mentally feel great but I physically do aswell! I don't think I will ever go back to fast food etc!
