    Knee injury

Checking if anyone has experience with this..

Well, long story short my friend got jumped so I tried to help him out and ended up injuring my knee somehow..

It happened last Friday night and it still hurts.

    Symptoms:
while walking and bending my knee to walk even a little, there's a sharp pain. I can't bend my leg without it hurting above my shin and right under my knee cap, so the area between the two, but mainly right below my knee cap. (just feels like it's going to tear a muscle if I stretch it)

It's been swollen since then as well, even when icing. Anybody know of any problems that it could be?

Your best bet is to go the doctor. As far as I know, nobody on Sythe is a doctor so we won't be much help.
If you won't go to a doctor, make sure you get a lot of rest and try not to walk on your knee.

Yeah not really looking for tips on how to recover from this, just seeing if anyone has had anything like this and knew what it was. I usually just stick through injuries with the mindset of it'll heal eventually instead of going to the doctor, but it's been a while for this one.

Planning on going to the doctor tomorrow.

Yeah I'm the same, I'll only go to the doctor if I've had it for ages.
I've dislocated my knee before and that was like what you explained, but it's probably not that as you wouldn't be able to walk.
It's likely you've just pulled a muscle, if you got into a fight and you were unprepared you could easily pull a muscle, it's possible you could have been kicked in your leg too, often in a fight adrenaline is rushing about so you don't realised you're injured untill after.

    Knee injury

I've pretty much had, or actually still have the same injury. During a basketball game my left knee pretty much connected with someone elses knee. I was trying to get the rebound and the other guy (other team) was trying to get it aswell so I don't think it was done on purpose. Anyways, I got the rebound but when I landed on the floor again I pretty much fell because my knee got instable.

It has been 3 months now I think and I can run again but I had trouble with my knee for a long time.

I'm not sure how it's called in English but that page shows some information.
