    In pain, any advice?

Broke my wrist 2 days ago in football practice. It's in a cast, and after taking 3 regular Tylenol's it still hurts like fuck. I ran out of the Tylenol 3's (was only given 5) yesterday and even after taking one of those I was still in pain. Does anyone know anyways to reduce the pain? I don't want to take any more Tylenol, but if it'll help I'll due it.

PS. no comments about smoking weed to reduce pain 'cause that's not an option.

get stronger pain meds from the doc? if you have pain I'm pretty sure they will give it to you. Can't think of the name of some strong ones.

I may go back but id have to wait a few days for my appointment, I'm thinking right now, as the pain will probably subside in a few days.

Careful about the oxycontin use. Try not to take it simply because you feel a moderate amount of pain. It's only for severe pain. It can be an addiction.

Other than that, yeah that stuff should do the trick.

Just like Liight said, be careful with using OxyContin/oxycodone. They are highly addictive, and they are usually just used for severe pain. I would schedule an appointment at the doctors as soon as possible.

Also just remember to not work your wrist in ANY way while it's still healing, you don't want to injure it anymore than it is.

Of course Oxycodone is addicting, but it takes a good bit of use to get you there. If you're in a lot pain, sometimes painkillers are your only option. Your mom has them, so you probably don't have free access to them anyways. As long as you quit using them once the pain goes away, then you don't really have anything to worry about. You can also apply heat and ice packs to it. There are supplements you can take such as Calcium, Magnesium, Boron, Potassium, which help repair bone damage and Zinc, which helps repair tissue damage.
