Failed drug test for work?

Ok I dont do this normally infact i had a really important test to study for and four days ago on Saturday I took 60mg of adderall to study all day. So today (Wednesday) I was randomly drug tested (urine test) at work, I work for a big company, and it was sent to lab. So I dont know what to expect, I mean how long does adderall stay in the system, I think my metabolism is good I excersize daily and lift weights 3 days a week, Im 6'1 and 170lbs body fat percent is 10 I think.

Another thing is if I do get questioned about it, do you think I would get in trouble or would it go on my record. Also anyone have any good excuses as to how I can get away with this clean? I dont care if it cost me my job.

 

If you don't care that it costs you your job, then why does it matter if you fail? There is a good chance that it's out of your system by the time you got tested. If it does come up just be honest and tell them you needed to study hard for a test. Might as well be honest, if you're caught, you're caught. No use lying.

They wouldn't call the police or anything. They would just fire you, if they even cared that much.

 

They wont test for anything like that. They mainly only test for pot, meth,coke e, heroin etc etc. They wont be testing for anything like that and if they are i'd be REALLLY surprised.

 

It's Adderall, just say you have ADD. It's not an uncommon disorder, and I don't think they'll ask for further verification.

If you start failing for other things like coke or THC, then they might start to ask questions.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure it would be out of your system after 3 days.

 

Well have you urinated alot before you had the test?
Your most likely sweated it out/urinated it out by now.
The most they can probably do is slap on wrists/warning

 

Thanks guys so far its been a week and im still working and havnt heard back from them about results so maybe im good or results arent back yet.

 

Adderall can be detected 1-4 days after your last dose administrated. Chronic use can be detected for up to a week. Since this was a one time use thing, i believe it is eliminated from your body within 48 hours. If a higher dose was used, then yes there could have been a high possibility that it would have been detected in the urin test you were asked to provide 4 days later.

I dont think you need to worry.

In case you did test positive, saying such things as you have ADD is not advised by me. I say this because im pretty sure you would be asked to provide medical records by your doctor to prove you do have ADD or ADHD. So they can easily find out you are lying. Perhaps come up with something better

 

Adderal shows up as an amphetamine depending on the drug test. I can't imagine your work is going to can you for having a performance enhancing substance in your system though . I think you'll be fine
