28 Feb UPDATE: Decided on the look finally and commissioned the suit for $1,1K + shipping (final costs will be around $1,5K with shipping and stuff). Here is the look I finally decided on. :3
Thanks to everyone who helped me with this, I will keep this updated as I get art back from the maker and such.


29 Feb UPDATE: Live streamed with my fursuit maker and ref sheet is now done. :3


25 Mar UPDATE: Tail is done, hand and feet paws are almost nearly complete.

Anything purple = winning

 

I like design 2.

 

The purple will be darker than that, I'm just not sure which color scheme I like best for a fox fursuit. :s

 

Well the purple, white, and black looks good IMO. Originally I was going to go with #4, but I don't like how the black looks on the face.

 

Think some of you have voted wrong, the first picture is the original unedited I found on google, I posted that if anyone had their own suggestion they wanted to recolor.

 

It may be hard to hide a fursuit from your parents I'd recommend telling them (or at least striking up a conversation about it to get their opinion) before you buy/make a costume. I think the first picture looks the best.

 

I don't live with them and they've always respected my privacy, so keeping it hidden wouldn't be a problem. I've brought ups stuff about furries before like with american dad's joke on it, never really got a good read tho. The first one as in the original or the one I have marked 1?

normally no, but I'm buying one that i will hold in my mouth to talk with. There are many different ways squeakers can be used like just having it in a part of the suit and squeezing it when you wanna squeak. But there are some squeakers that you hold in your mouth that make a squeaking noise when you inhale or exhale through it.

It's in the process of being built right now, the fursuit maker is making the paws and tail currently (no pics yet) but will be uploading once I get some. So far she has all the supplies (fabric, my shoes, hand traces, duct tape dummy, etc).

Thanks for the updates. $1,500 seems extremely steep, but I guess you're investing in a hobby that you're into. That's about how much I pay yearly for new snowboarding gear.

 

1,500 is actually really cheap, it's 1,1k for the suit commission itself + ~300 for shipping costs and then 100 for misc stuff like my duct tape dummy.

Most fursuit makers charge a minimum of 2k for a full suit.

 

Congratiulations. I do not know much about Furries and what drives them but I am sure this costume is something you'd cherish and love a lot c: gratsies on the nice final design and I hope you will have loads of fun wearing it!
