I am always moody and down.My Pyhsics exam is in 1 month so i am going to study hard, but i have like 10 exams until then.My younger sister just got her test results today and they were great.I am depressed if i get mine ill have cause for conern on many subjects.

Guys what should I do? This is going to ruin me,my parents know I always bottle up personal things, also at the moment I have no confidence in myself.

I know exactly how you feel, I've been suffering with depression for months. I developed insomnia, stopped eating and drinking... The best thing to do is consult with your doctor and get some guidance. We all go through bad experiences in our life's, this is just one of them.

But going through this at an early age makes us stronger in the future as you'll know how to control your anxiety and depression.

Thanks for the feedback broski :D

If I see the doctor and get guidance my parents are going to find out.If they find out about my grade, 10,000 extra tonnes of weight will be on my shoulders.
But when you think about it, they are my parents and i should be honest.

The thing that depresses me the most is if i don't get B average in science,I won't be able to study it at college.

I agree with FifaPalesss when he says that you should consult a professional. Try just signing up for an appointment with your school counsellor, and explain the situation and how stressed you have been over your schoolwork and exams, and they will be able to help you come up with methods of decreasing/handling stress. This is a very common problem for kids, and so don't be afraid to ask for help! Your school professionals want you to do the best you possibly can, and they will do anything within their power to help you out :)

As for your parents - maybe try talking to them and explaining your situation and how you feel, because maybe they do not realize how much pressure they are putting on you and how much stress you are feeling as a result of their expectations? I am also the eldest child in my family, and one of my younger brothers is sort of like your sister... he gets straight A's in all his classes at school (quite often 100%), is into sports and has been playing classical music for over 10 years... So basically he can be a giant pain in the ass as my parents often wonder why I am not like him, and expect me to try and make the same grades. After years of fighting/arguing with my parents, they are finally realizing that I have different needs than my brother, that I learn at my own pace, and that I am just not an overachiever the way he is, and they are putting less pressure on me.

The above suggestions are great. I also think that you should get a big calender where you can write down every exam date, test date etc.
Organization really keeps things in perspective and can calm you down if you know what youre facing

It seems that your depression has sparked from your poor grades in school. It is okay. To achieve success, everyone must be willing to fail. Consider hiring a tutor now if you need extra help in the subjects that you are not doing well in. Try to adjust your study habits and ask yourself, Was I studying properly for those tests that I failed/did poorly on? Was I motivated? Don't be depressed on a couple of bad grades or lack of an adequate social life because of the stress of exams/parents. What I suggest doing is studying hard during the weekdays and taking a break on the weekend to relax and do things you enjoy like hanging out with friends or playing video games, to keep you away from falling in a state of depression again. Keep your head up high and tackle those last few exams with confidence like they will be your last!

You know, some of us just aren't cut out to study. We work hard, but good grades just seem out of reach. If you are one of these people, then i suggest to you that a change of mindset is necessary.

You have to stop worrying so much about these test results, putting unnecessary stress on yourself which will lead to far more severe problems ( even more severe then failing a test, or failing to get to college ).

Test results, certificates and college education are essential in life, as how this system is created. But it doesn't mean you can't be successful in life without following the system. You can take the road less traveled and still be successful! These exams, tests, certs are NOT AS CRUCIAL and as important as you think!

So think this way, and adopt this mindset. It will definitely help you cope with your stress levels. Trust me! There is no point hurting yourself mentally over test results :)

Smile and be happy! That's all that matters!
