Fear of heights ? (Please help)

Please help I can't climb go rockclimbing without shitting myself (not literally) I feel like I'll fall.
I can't go on high buildings not even if there's a window infront of me - not even 5 storeys high!! HELP HELP!!

 

Fear of heights is a very normal, and common fear. I have a slight fear of heights myself if I am high up somewhere and I don't feel 'safe', like if there is no hand rail or glass window or something (edge of a cliff, for example).

There is really nothing you can do about this except confront your fears head on and try to convince yourself that its nothing to be afraid of.

I'm slightly scared of heights, in my line of work I have to climb a lot of ladders/scaffolding, it does scare me but I kinda of have to put up with it if I want to get paid.

Just try and conquer your fear and force yourself to do it.

 

Fear of heights ia natural in human beings, you just have to get used to it. I suggest you overcome the fear by facing it.

 

Thanks guys I was gonna try something extreme too loose the fear and enjoy it more by going bunjee jumping or something.

 

Thats one way of doing it, staring it right in the face and overcoming it with a bunjee jump, etc.

EDIT: Even abseiling could be a good way to go as you would feel safer and can control your descent.

 

having a fear of heights is illogical.
you have a fear of falling.

 

I kind of agree with the guy above me, it's more a fear of falling. jump off of some cliffs to water to help conquer this maybe?

 

I have a fear of heights also. But I have been up in quite a few tall monuments and such. But I still panic. I think it's a mind thing because looking over a building I end up freezing up.
