Why would someone buy this when you can buy it from the makers at their online shop for $25 which comes with a 2GB memory card?

i bought 2 for $20 with 2gb kingstons, they are very cheap =))))

Not necessarily modded, the DS has no modifications it's the R4 cart that does all the work, just put R4 cart in and it loads custom firmware which you can run homebrew and play "backed up" roms.
