What do yall think about the beef between rappers Meek Mill & Drake?

 

It's pretty lame (how it came about). Charged up is a nice tune nonetheless.

 

I totally agree. Have you see the pictures on social media with Nicki being on Drake? Imo its all hype.

Not all of the photos are photo-shopped, Nicki has done shows with Drake.

 

Meek is cookin' up fire on Twitter while Drake is playing a game of kickball with friends and family. Tbh I think Meek lost when his mom opened up to the media and said that he's letting her and his son live in the hood while he's bashing on other people. It's all petty nonetheless.

 

I seen & heard about that, lol. I love Meek he is my favorite rapper but all the beef is stupid. Im not sure if he was referring to Drake in one of his new songs "Lord knows" when he says "80 mill dont make you real n*gga", but Meek is #1 in the game right now imo.

 

Supposedly the beef originated over Drake not retweeting Meek's album for more exposure. This whole twitter beef with Ghostface & Action, Meek & Drake, Minaj & Swift... It's all been gay as fuck. I wasn't a fan of Charged Up but at least we got ONE diss track. At the end of the day I don't like charged up for two reasons though, I'm not a fan of it and secondly it overshadowed another track that was released alongside it, "Cha Cha", which I thought was very good but hasn't really seen the light of day.

I prefer Meek to Drake but come on, Meek's only just now had his first album that has had considerable mainstream success. He's no where near #1 in the game. If anything this is based upon how recent it is and in that case Future would be #1.

 

I would still prefer Meek over any rapper as of right now. Its hard to actual keep a fav because so many come ups.

Meek got bodied. His diss was the weakest diss of all time. Nicki even broke up with him (confirmed by mediatakeout). Drake ruined this guys life..

 

I don't think people really understand Meek's diss "wanna know" to its fullest background. I just joined here, but I can definitely see already that people on here aren't very fluent with hip-hop. Wanna Know has is sending shade to more people than just Drake. And there were a couple good jabs at Drake. The thing is you can't have a trapstar rapper and a "singin nigga" going back to back with diss tracks. They're not on the same wave-lengths.

 

You have to be the biggest meek follower to even try and justify wanna know. I love me some Meek but that was a terrible track.

His chick ain't even with him now supposedly and he's bragging about wealth when Drake is worth about 25 times more than him.

The whole thing is confused and the beat is terrible. The many people bagging on him on twitter are justified.

"Spitting another niggas shit, but you claim you king though?" He stays consistent with what he was originally going after Drizzy for. How many hit singles did Quentin Miller really write for drake, and how many other reference tracks exist?

And to me the "Was it Quentin Miller? Was it Hush or was it Detail where you really got your flow?" line is important because everybody knows how fake that flow has been since Day 1. When Drake first dropped, you would have sworn you were listening to a country-boy version of Big Sean. Young Money artists are widely known for completely biting their style and flow to sell and sell out (Nicki Minaj = Lil Kim.)

And the "fuck your sister in the ass and hit your brother up" I'm almost positive he was talking about Nicki and Wayne. It was just a typical Meek line expressing his involvement with hood politics. Because you know he's still in the streets, and comes from what he says he comes from.

Everytime I watch a video of this guy just doing normal things I can't help but notice that his persona outside of his music is nothing at all like the way he portrays himself when he raps. I'm sure you remember the time when Common dissed Drake? Drake replied about 5 months later....in a magazine article.

Like I said - this just can't be an appropriate battle. They are on two different wave-lengths; they have two different demographics. Next we can get Chief Keef and Trey Songz to send heat back and forth.

Q Miller started collaborating with drake in 2014. Q Miller does not write for him, he raps as reference for how the flow should go, how the tone should sound, and which way the direction of the song should go in. Drake did use most of what was said in the reference track, but that doesn't excuse everything else that DRAKE wrote on the songs in which Q Miller collaborated on. Remember Drake's Take Care album? Arguably his best work and when did it come out? In 2011.

Meek's enunciation is terrible, it's almost on par of that with young thug, his inability to change the tone of his voice to match the beat or melody is abysmal, and the fact that he yells A LOT also attributes to lack in production.

Meek has no #1 hit singles
Drake has 15 #1 hit singles

Those hits do include pure rap/hip hop songs.

The song sonically sucks, the adlibs/filler content in the song was bogus, and the overall way in which it was constructed was PURE garbage.

The fuck your sister in the ass line is 100% not about nicki. Anyone who understands the gist of their relationship will know he wouldn't say that, especially since he apologized the other day on her tour publicly about embarrassing her on twitter.

Common IS IRRELEVANT. There was no need for drake to respond to him in a song, let alone at all. Meek is much more relevant than he is, and saw it as an opportunity to gain money from it, especially since the accusations were much more dire.

The two diss songs drake dropped, charged up and back to back, are #5 & 6 on itunes top 100 chart A DAY after making it available to buy.

Drake won this beef in so many ways it's hilarious.
