Anyone watching/watched? It's a Netflix original (same as Orange is the New Black, House of Cards, Daredevil etc), so all of season 1 is out. I personally think it's very well done. Definitely unlike anything else I'm currently watching/have previously seen. Very well casted, directed by The Wachowskis, excellent acting as well as visually very well done...more so movie-esque, as most Netflix shows go. I'd give it at least 2 episodes before you decide to continue/not. Personally rate it 8-8.5/10. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2431438/
I really enjoyed the show. The constant jumping around in the beginning kind of bothered me, but that's just because I wanted to know more about individual characters while they were attempting to build on all 8. The pacing at times felt weird and the show did have a few.. unusual moments (that like 5 minute birthing scene at the concert?), but I thought it was really well done. I also think it's great how inclusive the show is and think they did a great job of portraying the different characters/their cultures/and so forth.
Definitely agree. Also, I'm happy that they didn't go down the general 'sexual abuse' trope with Riley. Refreshing to see some other kind of trauma lead to her current state. Most shows at current nearly always stick to the sexual abuse/assault trope (game of thrones for example).
Watched it during my staycation 2 weeks ago, was hooked after the 2nd episode. Yet another great netflix show that is on my must continue watching list. Netflix has continually amazed me with the shows they produce.
Yea, their original content is amazing. Daredevil, House of Cards, Orange is the new Black, Sense8...just to name a few. Most of their original content shows are the top runners/winners at most award shows (Emmys, BAFTA etc). They're even in contract with Marvel now. Can't wait to see what else they put out.
Some others to watch on netflix: Inbetween, peaky blinders, marco polo, the fall and knights of sidonia (if you're into anime)
Saw it. I liked it somewhat. I would give it a 6 / 10 (entertaining but not great). The characters were great but the plot was poorly explained. They never really explained the rebirth with the sensates and they never explained Whispers' power and why only he had it. They did set it up nicely for a second season though where they will hopefully go into more detail with the plot.
I'm a big fan of Netflix series; they certainly know what they're doing. Having said that, I haven't yet seen sense8 but I'll give it the standard 4-5 episodes to make a good impression on me.
