Man of steel

Just finished watching it and holy shit. The scene with his dad and the tornade?!?!?!?! all the feels! And i freaking LOVED how they explained the whole krypton thing showed so much of it and they even explained how superman gets his powers this movie was fucking amazing like 10/10 there has to be a part 2 because he only sent zod back to the phantom zone at the end.

anyone else love this movie!?

 

10/10? Lol you must have watched a different movie than me. Perhaps it felt redundant to me because I watched Smallville for 10 years. So the Krypton part was really boring to me and I thought it was just plain stupid Russell Crowe playing Jor-El. I love Russell but come on..that is not the type role for Crowe because he's not on screen enough.
Tornado part was good..the corny jokes were awful though throughout the movie. Wasn't a fan of Lois Lane, or how everyone magically seemed to know everything (IE: Lois flawlessly + efficiently finding out who Superman is...just implausible...). The motto of Man of Steel is "when in doubt, make it explode"

 

RUSSEL CROWE KILLED IT WHAT ARE YOU SAYING? i cannot imagine ANYONE else in the role other thatn him it was a solid 10/10. And yeah there was a bit to much explosions but hey it was aliens attacking.....

and i sorta never got something remember zod had all those krypton babies ? did they get killed? cause if they did that part sucks when zod was on the ship saying that if u take this ship down all of krypton dies and clarks stupid ass beams it down -.-

 

Not trying to spoil it for anyone but you're also mistaken or confused about the Zod & Phantom Zone. It's pretty clear what happens between Zod + Superman in the final fight. And I still disagree about Russell Crowe. He looked bored + like he was only in the movie for a big paycheck. I did, however, think Kevin Costner killed it as Jonathan Kent.

All of the Kryptonians are either dead or in the Phantom Zone at this point, because there were not a lot of them left to begin with. I don't know what Man of Steel would encompass, but I do know the Lex Luthor actor from Smallville wants to be Lex in M.o.S 2

 

ZOD Was killed but the rest of the kryptonians and there was a bunch on the ship got sent back to the phanton zone so there are some left but i doubt they would re use them for man of steel 2 but yeah lex luthor could definitely come in

 

That's what I thought. Maybe I'll buy the movie when it comes to DVD so I can give it another review. Lois Lane was one of my biggest problems.

 

Man of steel? Should have been called "Faora-Ul" because she totally stole the movie for me! Loved watching her kick Henry Cavill's ass. I hated Amy Adams she's such an air head and totally ruined Lois Lane.

 

Thank you!! god I could not stand her as Lois Lane. Efing terrible. Erica Durance should have been Lois Lane just like she is in Smallville.

 

the scene with the tornado put a tear in my eye as well... That was pretty heavy.
What I really liked about it was the way his past experiences were intertwined with the main plot so that they resurfaced at times when he underwent a struggle of some kind. Beautiful movie all around.

The one thing I didn't understand was the origin of ship in Antarctica (or wherever they were). One of the scientists said that the ice surrounding the ship was like 80,000 years old. So who's ship was it, and what happened to them?




p.s. I didn't have a problem with Lois Lane lol

 

A pretty good movie, there is a couple of crazy scenes

 

they explained that during kryptons like 1000 years where they traveled the starrs and had their golden age. remeber they talked about that? like the 1000 years where they explored the universe and went to different planets their like that ship in antartica was one of thousands of ships that were lost while exploring

 

did they mention whether the ship's crew/passengers perished or not? I figured it would be pretty difficult for them to die on Earth, considering that they're a superior race.

 

The movie was pretty poor I thought. Really disliked the Lois Lane character (just wasn't believable or good) but Cavill as Superman was great casting.

 

Most people say it was a let down. I'm hoping to see it soon, regardless of reviews.

 

Decent movie, but not it wasn't as epic as I expected.
