Honest thoughts on the Prequel trilogy?

I'm wondering what everyone's honest opinion is on the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Please don't respond "Kill Jar-Jar Binks" I'm looking for what you thought about it as a whole.

Personally, I love them and watch them everytime my power goes out on my laptop -- they're so entertaining. The Phantom Menace is a great movie and I love Liam Neeson as a Jedi.
Unlike most I liked Haydon christensen as Anakin and enjoyed his portrayal of the character, especially in the third one during the fight scene with Obi-Wan.

I'm also excited to see where Disney takes it in 7-9.

From surfing on movie forums I have to say that Haley Joel Osmet from the Sixth Sense would have made a better child Anakin Skywalker.

I agree with you about Hayden Christensen. He was great in the third movie. Though not so much in the second.

The Phantom Menance was actually the first star wars film I watched, so I didn't get the hate.

Yeah I went back and watched the original trilogy after the prequels, so maybe it was because of my age and the technology that I was used to that the original movies just did not meet expectations.

Attack of the Clones felt like mostly politics, and was rather boring overall, though when I saw it in the cinema watching Yoda finally fight was absolutely badass. The love scene bullshit also ruined it for me.

The Phantom Menace, well, Anakin Skywalker... The Podracing was enjoyable but the fight scene at the end was shocking in terms of Obi Wan not reaching Qui-Gon in time.

Revenge of the Sith was enjoyable, to the extent of watching the empire unfold, Jedi getting slaughtered and the Emperor finally coming out of his shell. What miffed me was Padme dying from 'a broken heart', the fact they figured C3PO having his mind wiped would be a quick fix for continuity. Finally the annoying Hayden Christiansen met with a black shell and James Earl Jones' sexy voice. No more annoying Anakin, and his hormonal problems.

I have mixed opinions, I don't think they should mess with it at all.
But of course I'll be at the midnight showings regardless. If it turns out good, then that's just a bonus.
