American Dad vs. Family Guy

I know a lot of people who watch Family Guy but not both people who are fans of American Dad. I personally like American Dad more than Family Guy. Does anyone agree that American Dad is not just more clever, but also just more enjoyable to watch?

Family guy has always gotten me. I mean I watch American Dad too, but only when it's on TV and there's nothing more interesting to watch.

I don't know why really, but I'll post again when I watch American Dad once again just to give a more detailed post to why. I do also love those long special episodes of Family Guy, I don't think American Dad has them, or if they do I haven't seem em.

 

family guy seems to be more cleaver to me, nto to mention it seems alot funnier in alot of approaches.

 

american dad definately appeals to a smarter crowd. I like it much more. humor on touchy subjects instead of dumb humor

 

There's never going to be a show as funny in the light that Family Guy is. Nothing really compares, not even American Dad.

Never really got into American Dad.

 

I like both but like Family Guy more.

 

I personally do not like either show, but I feel that American Dad is a bit more appealing. It's a bit more dynamic.

Family Guy for me. I don't watch either alot, but if I had to chose, Family Guy wins it for me. The puns and satire in it is also quite entertaining.

 

I agree with this. American Dad is more political humor and religious humor, than just fart jokes.

 

The thing I don't like with this is that I am unfamiliar with the political implications as I don't know american politics so those largely fall flat on my ears. Luckily for us, Family Guy has advanced past mere fart jokes and allows for relaxed viewing I find.

 

I like Family Guy better than American Dad. I just find it more funny.

 

Much prefer American dad, i got bored of Family guy a long time ago.

 

In my opinion, American dad ain't got SHIIII' on family guy.

 

Family was cool when i was in junior high, after that i just dont find all the shitty fart jokes and constant reference humor funny at all anymore. However oddly as it may sound american dad has a lot more mature jokes and references, i also like cleveland show more than family guy now. The first couple of seasons of FG before they realized they could just use constant movie/pop culture references to string together shows were much better. FG is just monotonous bullshit now imo

 

Truly hate to say it, but American Dad & Cleveland Show are both more enjoyable than Family Guy, to me at least.

 

I don't really watch either just wasn't one of those shows I got into.
