Nero Watches Weird Movies

Okay guys. So I have been rolling this idea around in my head for a couple weeks now. I am a huge film buff and my favorite films tend to be those that are satirical, experimental, or otherwise weird and queer. I want to do a twice weekly, weekly, or maybe bi-weekly film review of films that I have watched in that time period. It would be posted in the Movie/TV section and I would take suggestions. Who would be interested in something like this?


Here is a list of the first few reviews I will be doing if I get enough interest:

El Topo
Synecdoche, New York
Rocky Horror Picture Show
Eraserhead

 

I would read, seems like i enjoy the same type of movies. No one else really does this so i think you could get a decent reader base.

 

Godzilla movies for sure, they are entertaining and weird as hell. Just watch godzillathon from cinnamasscre and you'll know what iam talking about

 

I would also throw in some mainstream movies that are exceptionally well made, but it is going to be mostly experimental cinema that is either old, foreign, or underground. I will post the next movie I plan to review at the end of the review if the readers want to also watch and post their opinion.

@HEHEGGG: B-Movies aren't experimental, they're just cheaply made.

 

I don't think they are exactly B-movies, as most godzilla fils other than the first one are just fun variations of giant monsters fighting, you should at least check the review, and Iam pretty sure they are experimental and not cheaply made. At least check the review out.

 

I've watched a good amount of them. Godzilla, Godzilla Vs. Mothra, Godzilla Vs. that three headed turtle thing, Mothra Returns and a couple of the other Mothra films. Trust me, they're B-Movies.

 

Nero the more i read of your posts the more i like you, im a huge fan of the toxic avenger series and any troma film. Ill read, im a b movie fan. drop in some troma shit for me

 

It may not fit within the bracket of movies you're wanting to view, but the movie "Kids" is mental and has quite a raw theme - I found it a pretty great watch. Would recommend you to try and include it in your list, if you like
