Yeah, I love Legend of Korra. I made a thread awhile back, too: http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1369035. I like this series better on areas such as storyline, animation, depth, etc. But, the original characters are still my favorite. I'm going to watch the 10th episode today, and I can't wait for the one hour season finale on Friday!

I loved the original. This one is still a great show, I still watch it but that's only when I stumble upon it.

Yeah, the creators actually use real martial arts to help them create the scenes, it's really cool. And, episode 10 was so awesome. I can't wait for the 1 hour season finale, I'm sure we're going to see some avatar state action then.

Watched every episode of the first series, and the same has stayed true for this as well.

Some of the problems were left unexplained, but either way, it's definitely almost as good as the first.

Episode 11 was amazing and mindblowing (Tarrlock/Noatok/Yakon backstory)

Episode 12 was pretty sick as well, but I think they rushed to conclusions a bit too fast. Amon/Noatok was an amazing antagonist, and I would've liked to see him remain the antagonist for the remaining books (Much like Zuko/Ozai in The Last Airbender)

Can't wait for Season 2 though!

Wow, that was done beautifully. The backstory of Yakone/Noatok/Tarrlok was amazing. I love General Iroh, and finally Mako is with Korra. It did seem a little rushed, but it was still incredible. The ending scene with Aang, Korra reaching the avatar state, and giving back Lin Beifong's bending was phenomenal. Hats off to the creators, and I can't wait for book two! Korra for life!

The one complaint me and a couple others were pointing out was that Korra reached avatar state so easily and basically without even trying, and the airbending was thrown into one episode and spit out at the end. Then she could suddenly go avatar state at will to give people their bending back when it took aang months to learn it.

But all of that aside, it's an incredibly amazing series. :'D

Is this viewable online or only on television?

After finished watching all the original series on television many years ago, I was always looking forward to this new series.

    Hope it's available online, haha.

aang had no training really when he came out of the iceberg korra has been trained her entire life so that's probably why she reached the avatar state quicker.

When Aang went into the avatar state the first time, he didn't master it either. When he found out Monk Gyatso had died, conflicted by his emotions, he reached the avatar state by pure anger. I don't think Korra mastered the avatar state, but I think right now she is just able to give back peoples bending. Like when Aang goes into the spirit world, his tattoos glow, but that doesn't mean he's in the avatar state, and has mastered it. This is what I think, I may be wrong, though. Also, Korra was going to airbend sooner or later, besides it was a shortened season, so I thought it was fine.

Lol, this series is amazing. :'D
