Jagex RWT detection

Hey I'm just curious if any of you know how Jagex detects when you real world trade... And is it possible to do so without being banned?

I've recently started selling and I'm worried I may be banned soon.

Are there any guides for sale on here explaining in depth about this subject?

You should always trade items for items/gp because theyd eventually catch you (assuming) if you constantly trade between other accounts at a high rate.

I got banned for 6.5b 2 weeks ago T.T....

 

Although I've not RWT'd myself, a lot of the people who buy services off me do buy gold to pay for the services. I haven't had any problems.

It's most likely just the biggest traders that get banned for it. It seems only logical as Jagex would then be able to track every account they traded with, which would likely be hundreds of accounts. Try asking Bogla/R2P this question if they don't post here and they may share some of their experience with you.

Use virtual machines with private VPN's and spread the wealth between many mules all on different ips/machines.

Don't use level 3 accounts, they monitor newly made account greatly, I've NEVER been banned and I've sold 20b rs3 and 5b 07. Always RWT'd on my main

Also play on your accounts like a normal player, use the GE, do quests, etc.

Don't always trade at lumbridge top floor, everyone RWTs there it's so obvious.

Try RWTing through drop trading/duel arena/ wilderness

Jagex will flag your ip if suspicious activity is going on and will ban all accounts using the ip. That's where your VMs and VPN go into place. Never log into your mules on the same IP.

Jagex records every single thing your account does, so if you're trying to get into "the game" by selling/buying gold you will be targeted because you're competition

 

This basically outlines everything you need to know about avoiding rwt. Always put items up in the trade, don't sell more than a bill a week and be active on your account.

 

Ban rates aren't as high as people think, but there's always a risk that you'll go down when you're feeling comfortable .

 

Only hold what your preapred to lose and dont keep all your eggs in one basket.

 

Try not to get a VPN with a lot of RS players / tailored specifically towards the game. Jagex largely detects that type of IP address

 

To add on to what Nick said, Try to stay clear of any "Free" VPN. I made a fresh rs account on a free/shared VPN IP and was almost instantly locked out of my account before I even finished tutorial island. I did not even play it long enough to break any rules(Bot,RWT,etc). I fixed the locked status, but I decided to throw that account away in case it was flagged due to the VPN IP address.

I recommend searching for a VPN service that offers a Dedicated IP address addon. There is no way to know how many times they have recycled the Dedicated IP between customers, but you will have a greater chance of success than a fully populated Free IP server with tons of RS gold farmers. #IntsantFlagged

TL;DR - If you want to be extra safe with the VPN route, pay the extra $1.99 - $4.99/m for a Dedicated IP and make sure the site states that their Dedicated/Static IP addon is unshared!
Also, Do NOT login to the RS website/client/forums/game/etc with your main/legit accounts while the VPN connection is active. This applies in the opposite way too; Don't login to mules/bots on your home IP.
Separation is key to avoiding a chain ban on your legit accounts.

They tend to keep their detection strategies to themselves for obvious reasons, but I personally think it is less of an automated thing and more of a personal research/watching thing(popular stakers are heavily monitored due to their publicly known massive wealth). It may also be loosely based on "Report Player" and possibly a script that searches for extremely uneven trades(Direct trading 2b for nothing,etc). There are tons of possibilities and nobody knows 100% how they detect it, besides themselves.

From what I've heard from other forum users, there is no actual "ban rate". It seems to be a random act of Satan.
Try to do what you think will best minimize your chances of a ban and stay safe.

Ban rates are really low. If you spread your wealth and trade with items, you should be fine. Definitely do not transfer bills upon bills because no one normally does that.

 

The VPN method seems the most safe but if I was to simultaneously log on to two accounts to transfer wealth via drop/staking to my mules how do I only make it so only one of the accounts is logged into the VPN? Is it possible to just have a window open that runs through a different IP? I hope this makes sense

 

Not short of separate computers.

 

I'm always trading items for gp or gp for items.
