Profitable MMOs

Hello everyone,

I've been playing MMOs for about seven or eight years, so when I was fired recently I remembered that people used to make money selling gold and looked up Sythe.

However, since a week of playing RS I've come to realize how shit the game has become and how fucked the economy is right now.
I also looked into WOW, but they've lost a fuck ton of subs, and since I've never played before I have no idea how their economy is.

So, are there any profitable MMOs left?

My goal is to reverse-engineer the network protocol of whatever-MMO, and make a bot that doesn't require graphic rendering to start a farm of 500+.

No, but it looks Korean AF.

 

Runescape is probably the easiest well-known MMO to RWT/Profit on, even if it is a bannable offense.
I would also look into games like WoW and Wildstar.

 

League and Dota are the biggest now. RS is just easy - like stated above.

 

You should definitely be focusing your efforts on finding a sustainable source of income (new job). Make this a side project.

 

Also CS:GO would be something to try?

 

I've heard that you can earn alot from CS:GO, reselling items and etc.

 

one of my friends opened some box or something on that idk but apparently he got a rare knife out of it and he sold it on the market for like 2k$

 

yeah I would invest in CSGO and flip in the market rather than any other game.

Try and get involved in games that are being newly released. There are always more opportunities in new releases. Also, play the game to get a feel for how the market works.

 

CS:GO seems promising.

Believe it or not, I don't have any Steam games so I never considered the Steam market.

 

RS is still very profitable, farming is questionable, and the market is down... But, still possible to earn 6 digits yearly. I would say RS and WoW evening though, not as good as once, are still the best.

Does anyone know how viable the PokeMMO market is right now? I've heard the game is dying, but no sense in listening to peeps raging.
Also, would anyone be interested in a private PMMO bot? Considering starting up what I hope is the first farm.

- WoW right now is a good point of entry for the Market. Production chains in China have dropped WoW for some time now due to the fact that it's costly to keep WoW up and running what with Blizzards constant bans. Additionally, WoW's subscriber base is nothing to under estimate, espescially with WoD brining in about 3m new subs (getting them back up to 10m users, and now the western market is larger than the china subscriber base).

Pick a high population server (if you need help finding those, let me know), get to know the market and roads, and go from there. Recommend starting a guild and taxing users as well ;-)

- Archeage might be harder to get into at this point, but if you price competitively , or have another unique selling point, then you can establish yourself easily on PlayerAuctions with a store. The majority of the market for Archeage is currently on PA, and those early adopters who listened to us and set up shop, are making filthy amounts of moolah.

- Go into rare item sales. EVE and Star Trek Online. People do not joke about their spaceships, and I know some items in EVE go for as much as $8,000 USD. Although EVE is not a game you can bot (as far as I know)

- Counter Strike as some have mentioned is a market that is starting to grow rapidly

- A secret MMO that PA will be partnering with in the near future as their premier trading marketplace for RMT. People who get in early, will be able to stake out their own parcels of land and settlements and will be pretty well off.

 

All MMOs are profitable just depends on your method
