Surprised I havent had a single chargeback in my experience...

Done well over 100 trades now for various things (mostly selling steam accounts) and I haven't had even a single chargeback. Lucky... Or just good business? Prices have ranged from 2$ to about 200$...

Depends on who your selling to. If your selling to random people with little vouches, your lucky. If you make them require id and other proof, then good business.

I've found that 50% of chargebacks are the day of / next day and the other 40% are right around 45 days afterwards and 10% are within 90 days. If you're past 3 months, you're good.

 

I had a couple of chargebacks that were filed over one year from the payment date. Incredibly rare, but they can happen.

 

How do you even chargeback after 45 days? It won't even let me open up a dispute after 45 days, like it doesn't even give me he option. Also, did you win or lose the disputes after year?

 

i guess your just lucky with the people that message you. good business is more business so maybe you represent a good environment and people like to merchant with you. the people that charge back are just clowns >.>

 

people that chargeback are kids that doesnt realise its stealing money. They wouldnt do it in real life.

 

People are obnoxious. Also though it's worth noting to the OP that if you follow basic KYC procedures gold sellers have a less than 1-2% chargeback rate, so maybe you just haven't hit that threshold.

 

OP is extremely lucky, or steam market has less scammers than RS. Seeing as the buyer simply receiving a steam account, there isn't much to be made. Unlike with RS, gold is instantly profitable and I'd believe more useful. I'm not sure what the point of old accounts are other than digits.

I haven't done as many PP trades as most, but 10% within 90 days, 40% in 45 days is pretty high. I'm assuming their chances of winning are slim to none .

It's more like the people who would steal irl if they knew there weren't going to be any consequences, or they won't get caught.

They can contact their bank/credit card provider and ask them to reopen the case or recover their "Unauthorized" payments.

 

I've actually noticed that Paypal chargebacks are becoming less of a popular scam compared to impostering. Makes me want to open up an actual gold shop.

Only chargebacks I have had were when runescape membership was mainly sold by sms/pbp pins and someone decided to chargeback the payments for them. Was rather annoying to buy game cards to get my locked runescape accounts out from negative credit.

Never had a chargeback on paypal however, done probably around 100 trades and not a single chargeback.

Me neither [haven't done even 100 trades though]. Only got scammed a few times and tried to win the case and lost it every time
