Updated Lane Top Tiers

With the new jungle and updates i was hoping someone could help me with what champs r top tier in current meta. Ill list my current mains for each lane and if you could suggest some new champs id be grateful. I prefer range n poke but i really need to work on my melee combat champs.

Current champs im comfortable enough to play ranked in:

Top: Nidalee A/p or Bruiser, Renekton
Mid: Kassadin, Ahri and Nidalee
Jungle: Yi
Adc: Trist, twitch (really horrid Twitch)
Support: Thresh, Blitz, Morg and in a pinch karma

My next project will be Vayne and corki. I feel trist doesnt pack enough punch and without a solid gank early the lane can go easily to vayne/corki/lucian.

My best role is support hands down. I just cant play it though because of silver elo. I dont have trust in Adc's, mids or top lane to often. I find myself wishing i picked a carry role when i get grouped with 2 or more downies. (1 is overcome-able)

 

IMHO, nidalee is out of the meta. Stop playing her AP for sure.

Yi is a fantastic jungler now. The new chilling smite makes him much more viable to gank early with. Same with Warwick.

Forget Trist and Twitch for ADC, they both got nerfed to the ground. Trist no longer has any damage until 40mins, and Twitch's Q is like what, 7 seconds to go invisible if you're damaged by the enemy team? Its no longer a good escape tool.

I find myself struggling to win lane now even with Lucian. Vayne is an awesome pickup, with this tank meta she facewrecks them all.

 

Lucian is (for me) the best adc pick out of all the adc's. no mater how nerfed he gets, his passive will always remain OP esp early game from which thereon you can buy items with sufficient amount of gold

 

Is yasuo still viable?

 

His passive was nerfed, not so OP anymore

Sure. its just that he doesnt get much play due to other assassins reigning supreme over the midlane / banned

 

With recent buffs to the movespeed to fasten the E, along with significant Q cooldown reduction, yes yasuo is viable.

 

I'd say Irelia is the best top laner right now. Personally prefer Rumble.

Lee Sin top is a ton of fun but not terribly viable after the slue of nerfs.

 

I would personally say Graves is better than Lucian at the moment, He has a passsive which gives him a slight bit on tankiness, His abilities do a really good amount of damage, especially if you are up close you can hit an enemy champion with all 3 Q bullets, his W in my opinion is one of the best pieces of utility in the game, it gives so much potential for outplaying your opponents, His E has a relatively large cooldown but each AA reduces the cooldown by 1 second, late game you can have it every 5 seconds~, his ult isn't too special but it also does quite a bit of damage, it can help to secure kills because of the extra range it has when the shell explodes.

There are counters to him, such as Sivir's spell shield and Caitlyn's AA range, but i haven't experienced many matchups where it's hard to win. The only one i stuggle with most of the time is Vayne, but that's nothing to do with Graves, more because i'm not too good playing against Vayne.

 

The only ones from your list that fell out of the meta are renekton/trist/nidalee mid. Just pickup vayne/corki/lucian and you'll be ok bot lane. AP bruiser nid top still works but full ap is better.

 

yeah i almost always run ap nid just because i enjoy the spears =P

I might try n pick up gank plank i like range and theres not to many range top lanes.

 

Dont pick up GP. Go for jayce if you want a strong ranged top laner.

 

ok cool ive played a few jayces and i really like his set up reminds me of nidalee

 

Jayce has a very high skillcap, but a fed jayce is pretty much impossible to beat. If a Jayce is snowballing and they start to siege, it's usually GG.

Does Jayce counter yasuo?

 

I can see that to be a skill matchup with the fact that jayce can knock away / jump onto him whenever he likes, a good yasuo wont let him get any eq poke down on him, and his passive shield will block a couple of jayce's AAs/Qs throughout the lanee.

 

In my experience ive found either someone is really good with yasuo or straight up terrible... There isnt gray area for yasuo players in my opinion.

 

Thats true, but once you get to grips with him hes fucking hard to stop. However thats the same with generally ALL high skill-cap champions imo.

 

Sion is a pretty good support atm, every game I play I'm scared someone will copy my Sion support so I don't play him that much.

 

lol'd. Its not like you made it up.. Every day i worry someone will copy my vayne adc :S
