    About Me

    I know I didn't just join, but I feel like sharing :)

Note: Sorry if there are any typos. I'm typing this on Ubuntu Linux and the auto spellcheck doesn't work on any websites. I'll do my best though ;)
And I know most people won't read due to the length, but I am bored and figured it would show people who I really am.

I'm 16 years old, a Junior in high school, and have loved computers since I was very young.
My brother set me up with my first computer about 5 years ago.
I started tinkering with it and my knowledge of and love for computers started to skyrocket.

When I was in 6th grade I got a job at my High School working on computers during the summer. We would physically clean the computers and clean them up. (Get rid of viruses, run scandisc/defrag, etc.) It was really simple stuff, but it too helped my tech. path take off.

When I was in junior high I started to learn HTML for a Runescape clan site with my friend in Highschool. We learned very basic HTML from an old book, but it was HTML nontheless.
After that I didn't do any sort of coding until my Sophomore year in High School.

From there I got more into fixing computers and their issues. I played around with a lot of stuff and spent a lot of time reading through forums and searching stuff on Google.
I also started playing with "forbidden" stuff. I would get into the Windows files that aren't meant to be messed with, and I would start tinkering.

After that I got into building computers.
I would scavange up scrap parts from people I knew and a few from the school I worked at. (Only took stuff they were throwing away.)
From there I would, as I call it, Frankenstine computers up.

    Skipping ahead to now...
I know my way around a computer inside and out.
I've put together a lot of computers (actually never built one with brand new parts) and have fixed computer issues for a lot of family and friends. (Have yet to charge anyone; I love helping people.)
I know my way around Windows XP and Windows 7 really well and can fix nearly any problem that you can run into. I also know my way around Linux (namely Ubuntu -- Gnome Interface).
Note: I don't know much at all about Macs. I like their quality and have heard a lot of great things about them, but I've never purchased one because of the price, and I avoid using the computers because, in my opinion, the OS is just annoying.

I'm also getting pretty good at programming.
I took a C++ programming class at school my Sophomore year in high school. They had one of our math teachers as the instructer, and he sadly wasn't that experienced at C++. (He is however one of my favorite teachers.)
He was teaching "bad" methods of programming; using stuff like clear screen and goto functions. After people on forums made me realise how bad that is, I went off on my own to learn C++. (And I got a lot of help from my brother; he's the reason I am where I am.)
Our final project was to create a console app RPG game. (A console app runs through command prompt -- They are 100% text based.)
Everyone created their basic RPG games. "You walked to the forest. Go left or right. Type 1 for left, 2 for right."
I however did way more than anyone in the class was capable of, and I blew the teacher away.
I created an interactive game. I made walls, monsters, doors, npcs, and hidden pathways. You moved around with 'aswd' and your goal is to make it to the exit.
To open the door out you have to kill all of the monsters, which is a little more difficult than it sounds. You had to go through a process (which I can't remember off the top of my head) to unlock a secret room. That room had a teleporter that lead to a NPC who upgraded your weapon and armor. Only then could you defeat the final boss. (Along with the help with the rat meat you collected and cooked.)

Around the same time I started getting into 3D modeling, because my brother, my best friend, and I are making a MMORPG.
After about a year of on and off modeling, I realized why I never liked drawing; I am not an artistic person.
I dropped the modeling, and took over the programming aspect of the game, which meant another language, python.

After I learned python I got back into HTML, and with it CSS, PHP, and Javascript. (This is where I'm currently at. I've pretty much got HTML and CSS down, but I wouldn't say that I should be relied on for PHP/JS questions. I will be there soon though. My friend got into programming and I'm going to learn it with him. After he catches up that is.)

Seeing that this is extremely long I'll stop at this, but I think it covers a lot.

So if anyone has any technology questions, feel free to ask. If I can help or if I know someone that can help, I WILL reply, and I WILL help you.
I don't know what it is about it, but I love helping people, especially when it comes to technology.

    About Me

Welcome to Sythe! I highly suggest you take the time to read the stickies and the rules in each section before posting. Always trade safe, and take the time to research the person you are trading with. Google becomes a powerful tool with any black market.

When trading, don't ever let someone rush you into a trade you are uncomfortable with. If you ever have any second thoughts, trust your instinct. Its better to back out and save yourself before its too late than to get scammed.

Sythe has a great community, but of course with any online market, there are people out there with shady intentions. Again, always use caution and don't ever second guess your instincts. There are plenty of Free and Official MiddleMen who will be more than willing to help you with any trades you wish to conduct.

If you ever have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact myself, a mod, or a more seasoned sythe user for help.

Enjoy your stay and I hope to see you around!
