Hey guys! New to sythe, new to rwt!

Hey guys, i know my account is a couple months old, but I've only just started to use this website. I've had a couple bad trades and a good one and hoping to learn the tricks of the trade of being able to tell what's legit.. And what's not..

Paypal is my favourite payment method, and I've heard most people use Paypal.
How can I avoid chargebacks?
Should I ever use the gift option, when going first?
Specifically for trading Runescape accounts, how do you give over recovery information without giving personal information?
What's the best recommended payment method YOU would recommend?
How many vouches/posts/join time is considered legit* and how would someone go about getting credibility, when very rarely RWT's.

Also, how do i record my vouches?

How can I avoid chargebacks?

Use WU, MoneyBookers (make sure the buyer is the owner of the MB account), Mail, Moneypak, Player Auctions.

No, if the member is not very trusted.

You do not need to provide your full name, street address and phone number.

The ones I listed.

Posts and join time does not tell much. Yes an old member looks more legit than a new one, but don't go first to an old member without any vouches.

5-7 big vouches (300$+), shows that a member is trustworthy.

Also, how do i record my vouches?

2) If the seller is trusted.
3) There really isn't much personal information to give away anyway.

Above all, use common sense.

Thanks a lot guys, especially wernis! I made the mistake of using the gift option on paypal on my second buy which got scammed, I've heard about player auctions and will consider using them from now on.

I have a question. This user has vouches, but not many. Will not deal with a MM or in part-by-part transactions.

I am pretty certain that this is most likely going to be a scam :\
Is stuff like this reportable, or is it unacceptable for me to name-drop, or do I just ignore this user completely?

 

Better to be safe than sorry, don't do the trade. If ANYONE ever declines to using a MiddleMan don't do the trade.
