New, and need some assistance!

Hey everbody, I decided to become a member of this site because I wanted to sell gold, my first question is.. How do i get started?

I realized you have to gain the community's trust with vouchers,
well how can i go about getting them? Perhaps i make a transaction
where I give the gold first before the payment comes to me?

Welcome!

Read the stickies, because they contain a lot of information. Use an OMM for large trades and always use a form of trusted MM. You get vouches by providing goods or services to the community and being a generally trustable and helpful member.

 

Welcome to the forum! You gain vouches by trading successfully with other members, but be careful and use a trusted middleman to keep your money safe. A middleman works by both parties giving their end of the deal to the 'middle' man and then he will trade the items both ways. It's the safest way to trade, assuming the middleman is trusted and won't run off with your money or items!

Depends who is paying the fee.

If you are the seller of 100m and you are paying the fee you would be effectively giving the buyer 100m and the MM 10m. If the buyer was paying the fee you effectively be giving the buyer 90m and the MM 10m.

Although you'd actually be giving the MM 110m in the first case and 100m in the second case.

Changes constantly. Right now Gold is being sold at .6-.7/mil by trusted sellers and being bought at about .55/mil by trusted buyers.

I'm not sure what you mean. As you trade more you gain more trust and people trust you more. So initially you'll probably have to pay more for gold and use a MM, etc.

 

Okay I want to sell/buy some gold, what is a reasonable amount of gold to buy/sell at one time, How low of an amount can i buy/sell without being laughed at for trying to buy/sell such a low amount.

 

Ah I see haha, well typically a transaction under 10m wouldn't take place. Unless the seller really needed money.. I'd say the lowest you really ever see is 5m.

You made the right decision in joining Sythe.

To gain Vouches, instead of just going first, offer to use an OMM for trades, it shows your a legit trader and not one of those people who make a thread to sell good with no intention to sell. Alternatively, you could sell to a bulk buyer, you won't get as much money, but you'll be sure not to get scammed.

A tip is to carefully look at msn addresses to imposters and always request a pm before a trade.
