    Computer Upgrade Help

Well I can't record when I pk on Runescape anymore because of the lag. I want a good enough Desktop Computer to do so. Here's my current specs, I think buying a whole new Computer is out of the question so is there any upgrading I can do to get what I want. (Which is to be able to run Runescape and Camtasia Screen Recorder)

    Thanks.

Assuming this is a PC, immediate upgrades that come to mind are:

Dual/Quad core CPU, overhaul in RAM (both will require a new motherboard most likely).

You'll also want to look into grabbing a new GPU if your current one is outdated, and with all the upgrades you may need a PSU that can run all of it if your current one isn't going to cut it. Also, install an OS that ISNT Home Edition of XP. Try XP Professional.

Not to sound condescending, but if you walk into a store and ask them about upgrades, they're going to tell you exactly what I just told you. Don't even think about buying computer hardware until you know some basic lingo otherwise you run the risk of buying incompatible parts that may not work with each other, or worse, cause a short and fry your brand new parts.

Essentially, you need a new processor, new memory, possibly a new power supply, and a new video card.

Hmm, which would be more cost effective a new computer, or just tricking my old thing out?

Nah dude, I wouldn't waste time or money tricking out your old unit.
From looking at that picture, your system is hella' old and not up to today's standards and needs.

If your not looking to spend the $$$ and go with a Apple, the Asus Desktop line up is pretty sweet and not bad on the pocket.
