Want to buy account but skeptical

Im in the market for a decen rs07 pure and was going to pay rsgp for it. But i fear that once i get the account it will be recovered or i will build it up then it will be recovered. Is there any way i can make it unrecoverable? Thanks!

 

There is no surefire way to ensure that an account won't be able to be recovered by the original owner, so you need to make sure that the person you purchase an account from is trustworthy. Alternatively, you could pay to have your account trained up to your desired stats which would be more expensive but a lot less risky.

Most are fooled by the thought that if an OMM is involved, they wont get scammed.

Which is true, but MM doesnt stop the recovery.

As pointed above, Trust the seller instead of the MM.

Personally I wouldn't buy an account from anyone who isn't an extremely trusted individual on this site. I've seen far too many accounts recovered to know better.

 

The way I look at it is this, and this may not be the best way; but to me its worked thus far.

Does the said name person have more to loose on Sythe, would they profit more by recovering that account.

The way I do this is looking at there vouches, if they are a constant seller, obviously Sythe is more important to them as they are making steady income / if they have a donor rank that's higher then what the account is worth then more then likely they didn't buy that rank just to be scammed. I've bought 7 accounts off this site and the only one to be recovered was the only one where I didn't use this logic. I got excited because it had a pet.

 

You should probably only buy from trusted sellers, Or you could try to ask for a recovery test before you pay for the account. Gl!

 

Your best bet would be to buy from someone that has a good amount of vouches, as an account can ALWAYS be recovered no matter what.

 

Safest thing to do is always to just make your own. Bot it if you have to.

Like the above, an account is always recoverable because the seller most likely made the account using his IP address and when looking up the IP, it will be linked to that account. He can then recover it. If you want to buy an account, I suggest you buy it from people who are trusted.

 

Like others have said, there really is no "surefire" way to making sure an account is unrecoverable. For this reason alone I would never buy an account from someone unless it was an EXTREMELY trusted member that would probably offer a money back guarantee in case of a recovery. For those reasons alone though I've never bought an account. It's more expensive to have someone skill yours for you but at least you know that account is always yours....no matter what.

Just make sure your buying from a very trustworthy person. You can tell if they are trustworthy through how many vouches they have/recent trades/no bad rep/etc.
