The problem =
My runescape clients are freezing when they shouldn't be!

-The bottom client is the frozen one
-memory use shoots up for the frozen clients on the task manager

Your processor is good, but what are the other parts, since the rate is only 5.5? You got better processor than I but I got 7.8 rating, and never freezes for me, what GFX card you have?

 

Does your xps 8700 use the GTX 745?

I'd suggest checking your temps using GPU Monitor or speed fan. I suspect something is overheating.

Its a POS card quite honestly. The specs are decent but its still a POS.
Make sure you have all the latest drivers.

If that doesn't fix it, your GPU needs replacing. Even though RS isn't a graphic intense game, 7 clients would cause a problem on that card.

just a random advice, get a rock cake and lower your hp to 1.
this way you'll last alot longer because the max damage that monsters can do is only 1, instead of 10-20.

 

If you'd like I can give you some links to GPU's that would be of great benefit to you.

I just need to make sure you have the correct model XPS so I need the model #, I think you may only be able to use a low profile card and that'll greatly affect what cards I can choose for you.

 

I want to run 10 clients.

I've got the Nvidia Geforce Gt 720. I've got another computer with the same exact specs that doesn't have this issue when I run 10 clients.

 

Check and make sure the temps aren't too high and also make sure that you have all the latest drivers for your GPU.

Are you sure your other pc has a gt 720? Because that's NOT a good card for running 10 clients and I will be surprised if it can.
