    Skype Help!

PS: if this can't go here to get the most views, please move to help and requests or donor lounge I guess I didn't know where to put it.

So yesterday I was logged out of my skype when I got home from work which was unusual as anyone who knows me, knows I stay signed in 24/7...

Anyways when I tried to login I got a strange error message, and promptly changed my password. After changing I tried logging in again and same error message, so I contacted live support and they had told me my account was "suspended".

After filling out a very long form given to me by the live support agent, sending it in, and waiting nearly 24 hours for a response I got this.

I emailed back some random crap saying I wanted information on why it has been locked and what I did wrong, as I've currently used Skype for over 10 years without an issue ever... Went into live-chat when I got home again said this is unacceptable and it needs to be resolved immediately ect..

2 hours later I got this email:

Keep in mind they still have not told me what I did wrong or why on earth they would lock me out of my own account.. No suspicious emails and I didn't get hacked or I would see recovery emails and such.. but I am still curious as to why now they are telling me "Unfortunately, as we have explained to you before, it is not possible to restore your Skype account." When this was not in anything they have sent me before.

What should I do? I have over 1000+ contacts of friends, customers, and people who have added me over the last few years and now I have no way of getting them back..?

I am in need of some advice from anyone with prior issues like this or any advice on what to do next..

    Thanks!

This generally happens when someone makes a "stolen Skype" claim, meaning, someone has gathered enough information about you to convince them the Skype is not yours.
The alternative, however, could be that you used a stolen Skype code which would explain their blatant disregard to helping you.

Either way, they usually don't restore accounts.

The only option I can suggest would be to make a support thread on their forums and wait for someone to give you more details regarding the suspension.

Well I did use a premium code I bought from someone on here, but I used like tons of them, and gave away a lot too friends and none of them are having issues.. If someone gathered enough info to say stolen skype, would be interesting but you think they'd tell me this or I woulda got like some sort of emails before hand..

They wouldn't tell you anything regarding the suspension due to privacy violations. They can't ensure you're the original owner at the time, therefore withholding information.

They can ensure I am the original owner when I have it two step verification on it with my cell phone verified as well. Unless the "hacker" kidnapped me and got my cellphone, original email linked, and paypal where I have my subscriptions set up through... I personally just think skype support is complete shit an their entire service and procedure in handling these type of issues is garbage.

Did you use tons of them on your account? Could you give an estimate?

Isn't it like runescape credit when a payment has been reversed? They lock your account until you're able to pay back the deficit.

I'm not aware of the skype policies, but isn't it justified if you obtained stolen skype credit? Everything makes sense if this is the case.

I got free skype premium, so I'm in the same boat as you, except I haven't been reported or investigated.

    1 premium code...

If this was the case I think they'd tell me, and ask me too pay it.. which I'd easily do no worries at this point..

Still no emails back since the last one.
