    Brake help for my Vehicle

    Hi

As I come to a full and complete stop @ a stop light, a stop sign, or behind a vehicle, applying the brakes is not smooth. There is no squeaking or any type of noise when braking. Its like when when I'm close to coming to a full complete stop, my head nods as I apply my breaks slowly.

I don't know if I need new brake pads or rotors. I had someone check the car out ( used a flash light and pointed it at the rims ) and said that the brake pads need to be replaced. But i thought brake pads need replaced if it makes noise or any kind...

Could be the brake disks, if the brake disks are worn out, theres an edge on them which usually causes problems like this, i cant tell you for sure that its the brake disks but that what i think it is. Or could simply be because theres not enough pressure in the system you could try adding more liquid.

Rotors commonly do this especially when worn in the rear, what type of vehicle do you have this could help me with my answer, and can you tell if it's coming from the front/back or all? (I do all the work on my own cars)

How do you know if its coming from the front/back?

I'm driving the car and then when I come to a full and complete stop slowly for example the stop sign, at around 10-15 mph to zero, it starts to shake like as if you're nodding. the stop isn't smooth when im in other people's car. think of it as

    its like _____________ _ _ _ _ [STOP SIGN]

hard to explain but the brake is not smooth that is all. i look at my passengers and their heads will nod while almost coming to a complete stop at around 20mph to zero. think of it as you press the brakes, let go, press brakes, let go, press brakes , let go kinda motion

Yeah, it's 90% of the time your rotors mate, however hard ware on the rotars will cause you too need new pads as well, your best bet is to take off a tire and check them out; very easy to tell if the pads are warn at all, or if there is warps in the rotor. If this is the case and you can't fix it yourself get it done professionally and tell them to bleed your lines really well..

It sounds like you have a pair of warped rotors. Easy to swap out yourself if you feel so inclined but otherwise you could take it in to the mechanic and get them to check them over.

If your brakes are pulsating though it's definitely rotors.

And here we are again, just like last time, you ask for car help on a blackmarket forum.
I can't stress it enough, just go to a mechanic and let him check it out. If you can't do it yourself, let a trained mechanic do it for you and save yourself the effort.
They know their brakes, and when they have to be replaced
