    Excellent signal but link speed constantly goes up and down
    I have excellent signal connected via WiFi. I'm about 15 feet away from my router. 5 bars but watching my link speed goes up and down. 54mbps, 36mbps, 11mbps, 5mbps.

    is my router bad or my wifi card?

    hmm, 15 ft aint too much as long as you have 4 bars showing up. Are there any other things in your house using wifi? If so thats the problemo
