Is this another PayPal scam/Bannable on Sythe?

Curious.

There is a guy on Sythe that I bought a giftcard from a couple weeks ago, well it was for $60 I've been out of town for a couple days, but told him I may have a potential buyer for another one of his cards. Now I look at my inbox and he has told me "I refunded your PayPal, just send me WU"

So the total I'd send him would be $125 ($65 for the additional giftcard). I'm getting sketched out now, we hadn't even discussed him refunding the PayPal, he just did it out of the blue and wants me to send it to him WU.

Could this be a PayPal scam? Not sure if someone can chargeback a refund? I don't want to send him WU not only because of fees but also for the PayPal chargeback reason.

Any ideas? Is this something that is banable on Sythe?

Also, I checked two giftcards he was having me sell for him and neither work. One was expired and the other was used now. Requesting close on the thread where I was selling them.

Not purchasing anything else from him, I'm starting to think that he's either stealing credit cards or trying to scam me.

 

if you paid via PayPal then he agreed for PayPal and he shouldnt ask you to pay again via WU. Payment was made already. If cards didnt work he should refund you then

 

You can't chargeback a refund, i refunded the wrong person one time and paypal said there is nothing they can do once the payment has been refunded. Although if the refund is put on hold i would wait until the refund clears before sending him any money. He could send you a refund with a $0.00 paypal balance it will tell you it takes 3 - 5 days to receive the money and once paypal realizes he had a $0.00 balance they will cancel the refund, leaving you out of the money if you sent him the WU before checking that the refund was completed.

 

I paid and used a giftcard from him two weeks ago, and now I was just going to sell some of his cards for commission from the sale. After the sketchy messages and requests, I double checked the cards (So I wouldnt be trying to sell something that isn't there) and now they do not work.

One is empty, the other is expired. I was not told of this and was still trying to sell them for him. That on top of the other messages.

Do you think that this is enough to warrant a ban? I'd much rather send the money back via PayPal, then make a report than go through with his plan- get scammed, then file a report.

If the cards do not work and he refunded you I see nothing wrong.

You can't chargeback a refund that would be silly.

The cards that don't work are NOT cards that I paid for, they are cards that I was trying to sell for him and I would receive commission.

He refunded money from another card I bought for myself a couple weeks ago. Now wants WU, two weeks after the fact.

 

Bump, update: I have now sent the refunded money back to him.

I am currently out nothing. What I am curious about is all the other questions and requests he has had for me. Against the rules? Bannable? Scam?

 

There would be no need to pay as WU if you agreed upon PP.

From what i gathered, you bought the card from him via paypal, everything was fine, he refunded you without talking to you first, then asked for WU, you declined as the deal was done and returned the funds to him as agreed, if that's the case then i don't see a problem.
