Need Help with Thread Image Quality

Hey guys, I created two different threads (links in my signature) through jpeg on photoshop and then uploaded them via imgur to use in my threads but the quality seems to have drastically dropped from the photoshop document to the final upload seen via sythe. How do I keep the quality when uploading it ready for posting, Please refer to both my Skilling and Questing Threads linked in my signature.

 

When you save it, do File -> Save For Web -> PNG -> make sure you pick the correct compression -> Save.

 

When a PNG is too big, imgur converts it to a JPG. For your thread layouts, you have 2 choice. Slice them so they're smaller files (They wont be converted to JPG & lose quality) or Save it as JPG High Quality. If you save it as JPG High Quality, Imgur wont convert it, so your picture will not lose quality.

 

This happens to me often and no one seems to believe me on this subject. It gets really irritating, but I noticed that vgy.me (image hosting site) does NOT reduce the image quality of a large PNG.

 

thanks guys ill try and give these all a go, it was just frustrating seeing what i came up with on photoshop be turned into this pixelated potato when i want my threads to have a professional appearance

 

Photobucket doesn't compress, you can upload galleries, just like imgur
