Sythe Logo Concept

Got bored and made this a while back. Thoughts?





v2: Leaf of Life:

 

Not a fan of it personally.

Reasons:

S is too big
Doesn't go well with other font style
It doesn't look like an S at first glance

I love the background though.

 

If you positioned the text a bit better and used some gradients, it would have looked much better.

Ghast makes a good point on the S being... unwieldy. Maybe a separate font style for it would be beneficial. I'd also decrease the size a little bit, maybe some subtle FX on the background but for the most part it looks incredible. I'd love to see a new banner/logo for the site. You could also make a really sleek theme based on this.

 

S is definitely the main issue. Almost looks like a tear/water droplet. Leaf of Life's looks better with the shading/gradient as it is.

I like it to be honest, the big S doesnt bother me and i don't think the S looks weird. Good job man

 

It looks sick apart from the S. Needs altering a bit

 

Plain is good. Look around at almost any logo you see, most are plain, simple and recognizable.

Looks alright. Agree with Ghast though, S is too big.

 

On top of the S being too big I'm just not a fan of it at all, it almost looks like it's tipping over to the right side and doesn't match the rest of the text at all. Really like the background though (even though it's not relevant lol)

 

I like the general idea, but I don't get the lighting on #2

Exactly what I was getting at with my earlier comment. The execution seems to be lacking.

 

with smaller "S" would look better. The relation does not go well there
