A little web project for my interactive design class. The website was designed for a retro cowgirl clothing company with a contest thrown in. I tried to keep it retro and clean, I'm still learning web design so CnC is greatly appreciated :)

I like how bold everything is. Looks very crisp. I think a texture over the brown may be beneficial, perhaps a light grunge texture on brown and a faint sky texture on the blue? If its not distracting. I think itd add to the old/retro feel.

You might consider breaking that chunk of text in two or increasing the size and making it into sections. Ive heard that people tend to pick up like 1/3 of text when its on screen so less is more here imo. Perhaps a Bio on a seperate page instead of the homepage would be better organized, in that case people would be going there specifically to read about her instead of the info being displayed.

Header & footer look good. :)

Thanks for the feedback, I agree that some textures would of been nice to include for the background I'll try to think more about that on my next design. Also the body copy was supplied to me by the prof and it's only a home page design, I agree the wall of text isn't too inviting :p

It looks well finished. Almost looks like a nice flyer if that was printed out. I could recommend just less spacing in the blue bars for top and bottom by the logo, just a turnoff in the design and possibly for the user who obviously scrolls down on the page m

I think the composition looks very good.

Is the blue intentionally a little bright? Not sure if I like the neon sky blue color, but otherwise, looks like you did a nice job!

I've never seen c4d on a web design (not including logo).

OT: I'm not a big professional on web designs, or how they should be made, so you can take what I say with a grain of salt. The background looks really dull and bland. It does have to do with the color combo, but I can't blame you for using since it matches the niche of the project. Maybe a different style, and darker shade of blue for the background may suffice.

Looks great, however I have a bit of an hesitation on the color agencement. The bright blue in the background, in my opinion, should be more of a baby blue/powder blue! Also the creamwhite doesnt fit with the bright blue and black+dark blue in my opinion.

Try simplifying color scheme! Design wise, looks clean!

I really like it man. Its really simple compared to some of the gfx I've seen on your shop portfolio, but thats the beauty of it. Matches the theme perfectly.

Nice and plain design, but the only thing that throws me off is the color scheme. It's mostly the bright blue, so like Ghast said, maybe a darker blue would be better?

Do you have a moodboard? Always before designing a website make a moodboard. The background doesn't fit the site, I see you tried to do some diagonal lines, but I see no reason why you need to add those. The flag under the "welcome" text doesn't seem to fit the retro style, i'd leave that out.

Why don't you put the logo, navigation and social media on the same height? Putting it on different heights just makes this more confusing. Also the "designed by" part shouldn't be on the website, remove that.

Remove the brush effect under the images here, it's unnecessery.

Also the social media icons don't fit, never change social media icons a lot, only slightly. Also there is too much text, keep that to a minium, or try to put it on different places.

Nice Design, but I would try to split this huge chunk of text into smaller pieces so its easier to read for the user.

This was my first web design, the wireframe and mood board took about an hour and the home page an hour and a half.

For your first web design, this is pretty good. You have a good sense of design. The site needs more padding, especially where the content is. The footer needs work--the composition is all off. Try centering and placing things proportionately using a grid. Copyright is misspelled. The grass brush behind the picture is an interesting idea (I like how it goes with the cowgirl theme) but looks pretty unprofessional because it's the same exact brush that comes installed with PS. :p
