    (I am aware similar threads of this have been posted in the past, I'm only making a fresh thread as an exact date has been announced)

    Email from Microsoft, I've blacked out unimportant parts of it.


    So on the 15th of March, Windows Live Messenger will close for the entire planet aside from China. Everyone will be forced to use Skype if they wish to access and talk to their Messenger contacts.

    Personally I'm happy with Messenger at the moment, I don't mind Skype but at the same time I like to be able to use Messenger too.

    Thoughts?

    I agree with Moon. I have terrible internet and it doesn't work well with skype so I may have to go back to just using my YIM again.

    Aw man, I still prefer to use messenger over Skype for sure.
    This will be a rough transition for me as well.
    Maybe i'll move to china, nah ok that was a joke.

    Should have been a baws like me and found a fix to keep it at 09 msn.

    I'm glad there is a date now although I've already been preparing. I wish skype had tabbed chats, supported .gifs and allowed for "drawing" like 09 MSN has.
