I've just been playing DayZ. I bought it about 4 months back, but I couldn't play it due to my old PC being poo. So, for the past couple of weeks I've been pretty addicted to it.

 

DayZ was on my wishlist during the hype, now I'm not sure I still want it. Do you see yourself playing much longer?

Also this sale looks like nothing compared to the last ones. Like no effort was put in, and it all went into the auction. Community votes are now every 24 hours instead of 8. No more teams. I don't think there's a reward for crafting holiday badges like they had in the previous one.

 

This sale is complete trash... very disappointed

That is what I bought. Excited to get started on D:OS and Clockwork Empires. I already had the base game of Skyrim that I pirated a long time ago, but it's a bitch to mod and didn't have any updates/expansions so I thought I might as well buy it. Startopia was a little over a dollar and is a classic, with the HD mod I'll have it played well. Deadnaut is a new release and is a very interesting game that is also difficult. PA was only $5.99 so I thought I might as well. Spice Road and Merchants of Kaidan are both economic sims I've had my eye on for a while. Figured I'd pick them up.

 

Thanks, I'm now considering Merchants of Kaidan, Startopia, and just realized I had divinity in my wishlist.

Couldn't agree more. Right now I'm checking 2-3 times a day, mainly to vote for the next game I have no interest in at all. I remember in the last one I went nuts over the sales and checked every few hours.

 

Expected CS:GO to be cheaper but shit ain't happening

 

Definitely pick it up. It's like 10 bucks and the game is hard as balls and gorgeous. I am probably going to buy Dominon 4 tomorrow.

 

I bought Psychonauts, Bully Scholarship Edition, Gauntlet, Super Meat Boy, and that's all for now but I'm keeping my eyes peeled on games.

Psychonauts always had such good reviews and I figured 3 dollars and change = easily worth it. Super Meat Boy was literally 75 cents lol, so why the hell not. I wouldn't have bought it standalone but adding it to a purchase felt right. Bully Scholarship Edition is a classic game that I put 40+ hours into on Xbox 360. Just wanted it on PC as well. And lastly, Gauntlet was 10 bucks and has been on my wishlist for quite a while.

These games will keep me busy.

Divinity Original Sin looks absolutely dope, I might have to bite the bullet on that one too.

 

Waiting for CSGO to be at least 50% off so I can buy an alt or two. Still waiting T_t Will it happen?

 

Buy it. It is super fun, but it requires you to read a lot so if you don't like reading don't buy it.

I bought Dominion 4 which I've had my eye on for months. I've put 5 hours into it since last night. I am excited to get into the multiplayer. It is a game with a very high learning curve and isn't very mainstream but it is so deep and interesting that it's worth it.

So far I've purchased How To Survive and I won alot of games at the Auction worth more than 100 without spending a single cent. :laugh:

 

Winter sales used to be good. It seems Valve put all the time they normally spent on sales into that auction.

There's still a few days left, but with the community vote being once every 24 hours, instead of the old 6 (or was it 8?) hours, I feel like it's unlikely enough titles would go on sale to satisfy most of us.

Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition

X-Plane 10 Global - 64 Bit

Anyone played these games, there both on sale atm.

 

If you like flight sims I hear they're both good. Microsoft Flight sim is sort of the gold standard of flight sims really. You can fly the real distance between cities IIRC. So if you want to pull an 11 hour flight, you can do that.

 

Is the Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition playable if you don't know much about flying.

Is there like a step by step guide of what to do, from start to finish?
