Like I've already said, the rules I laid out are guidelines and can be changed if both players can come to an agreement (''radar on'' is just there to make sure no one camps in obscure places throughout the match). Not everyone likes to one V one that way, but I feel it's the way to go to keep camping to a minimum and make sure games don't go on for 20-30 minutes a piece.

And I'm not exactly sure whether or not you'll receive a competition winner rank. To my knowledge, giving out fun ranks is up to Govind and with competition ranks you ask need to ask him before the tournament starts. Djweasel said he would ask though, so we'll see.

 

Ok, and I think the next tournament should be a domination tournament. Prevent camping and stuff

 

It'd be nice, but I'm not sure we could get enough people on at once to hold a proper a game. I was thinking of holding a 1 v 1 tournament again, with a bonus game of Infected.

 

Maybe you should do a 1v1 Dome tournament, seeing as it is the best 1v1 map.

You must not play competitively. I play GB (gamebattles) which is MLG competitive play and there are TONS of people who play radar on. It takes more skill than hiding in corners because you will both know where each other are so you can look each other in the face as opposed to someone shooting the other in the back (no skill). face to face shows who has better gun skills etc.

I am not saying radar off doesn't have its place, but to say radar on 1v1 is worse than radar off 1v1 is idiotic.

 

Well for one, idk why you're freaking out over a video game. Secondly, I have really good punctuation but I'm not getting graded on it so therefore, I do not care. Thirdly, the fact that you said Gamebattles is MLG is funny as hell; I'm talking about REAL tournaments and events. Radar off takes much more strategy and knowledge, rather than both players trying to shoot eachother through the wall and spam frags and stuns. Seeing as your name is RSProdigy, I'd stick to runescape if I were you. I'm done replying to you so Quataki's thread isn't full of spam.

 

I'm not really sure object based game modes like domination or demolition would be that fun in a 1 on 1, and search and destroy matches would be over pretty quick. I think FFA is the only option for a game mode in a 1 v 1 setting.

Feel free to post helpful suggestions, ask a question, ect.. on this thread, but try to refrain from arguing back and forth anymore.

 

Objective based game modes take skill and strategy though. FFA's can turn in to one kill and running around for the 9 other minutes.

 

In response to the bold, GB is as close to MLG as it gets. I went to MLG events last year and competed, and placed top 25 three times, almost getting pro status. Radar off 4v4's take strategy and knowledge, 1v1's are just campy.

 

Agreed, and when I played singles on gamebattles, I had a top page team, and in pubs I was top 20 for score and kills on MW3 before selling my account. But like I said, you don't play radar on at events, you play mapgen.
