My High Pardon Request

I submitted a thread yesterday (12/27), yet seemingly it was never approved. I noticed several threads were approved today, so I believe something must have went amiss with mine. I'm not asking to be unbanned, I'm simply asking for a fair discussion at the possibility of being unbanned. If at all possible I'd prefer Matthew or Finn to look over my request. Thank you.

I was a very active member and an OMM for many years here at Sythe.org. I loved every minute of it. I contributed a lot, whether it be through my posts, my professionalism, or my service to the community by MMing trades. I MMed thousands of trades, and I did a lot of free ones just to help people out.

Contrary to what people believe, I wasn't in it for the money. If anyone personally knew me at that time, they'd know I was already extremely wealthy in RuneScape.

What happened with David (thequestionmark) was an unfortunate event. I didn't have any intention to originally scam him in the first place. I had BH transferred hundreds of times before, with hundreds of mills, and not once did I ever die. I was buying 40m total from David, and I suggested we do two 20m trades. That right there, can prove my original intentions, as if I was intending to scam him from the start, why would I only scam 20m, when I could have had 40m?

I lagged really badly when I logged in, moved a few squares, and then was hit by a clan. I never made it out, died, and lost 20m. In an effort to not have to pay him back, I simply tried to blame him for scamming me. This, although I'm not proud of, probably would have worked out for me, except I panicked, and posted fake pictures of David admitting to scamming me. That was pretty much the last straw.

Even after I was banned, I paid him back the 20m because I honestly did feel bad. Pen told me I would have a better chance at becoming unbanned if I paid him back, but I knew that wouldn't happen, yet I did it anyways.

I put several years of my life into this place, and it was all taken away in about 20 minutes. It really puts things into perspective. I would obviously love to MM trades again, but I will most definitely have to prove myself again, please give me that chance.

I don't think I support a pardon, but I have no quarrel with allowing a pardon to be considered by other staff.

 

Didn't you admit to scamming other members and using Yakov's account to read the staff lounge in my old people thread?

I just wanted to respond to SMR's comments. I did indeed post a while back about scamming people and going on staff member's accounts, but I merely did it because I was somewhat still angry.

I didn't scam anyone other than David (I've already explained that and paid him back several years ago). I also have never went on any other Sythe.org member's account. If you're really going to judge your reasoning off of a spam post I made months ago, I really don't think that is adequate proof of anything. Although, everyone has a right to their opinion, and if that is yours, I respect that.

 

Bullshit. Don't say anything you aren't prepared to own up for. My vote remains a firm NO.
