Banned Through Assumption

I was banned because of this thread;

Sure I shouldn't have offered my advice so nastily, but that is not even what I am banned for. My ban reason reads 'Either ban evading or always using a proxy'. I know what both of those are; yes I always use a proxy but I am not a ban evader.

I've only offered positive contributions towards the site,

- 181 quality posts (1.94 posts per day)

Despite the fact that I pose no threat to the community because I am rarely even active as of late, I only post when needed, report ban evaders and scammers whenever they come to my attention, and insist on OMM/MM for every trade I partake in; Tyro decided to ban me on the assumption that I'm an evil ban evader just because I use a proxy.

I could have skipped everything mentioned above this point, but I decided to include it anyway to show my good character. Refer to this thread;

This member was in the same situation as me, however instead of banning him because he uses a proxy which apparently has to mean you are a ban evader, he was welcomed.

Tyro being a hypocrite. 'It's not really any non-staff member's business (including mine), aside from reporting him in the appropriate forum, so I'll leave it at that.' Yet he banned me straight away based on assumption.

Why am I on a proxy? Personal choice. Safety. Because I want to. Because I prefer to use proxies when browsing the internet and definitely on forums. Accusing someone of being a ban evader just because they use a proxy is exactly the same as stereotyping someone on a train with a suitcase as a terrorist suicide bomber because they are of Muslim descent with a beard. Please don't stereotype me into a category of those with bad intentions without any proof Tyro, I've tried to display my good character throughout this dispute.

You shouldn't force someone off a proxy because you are skeptical, especially when all they've displayed is positive contributions towards the site. Perhaps in AG3NT's case, you had reason to be skeptical because of the Sythe account recovering epidemic.

 

I cannot find words to describe your response to Gohan's thread. "Please go kill yourself" is a perm ban usually as your toying with peoples lives.

If they do let you back you'll be perm banned from Personal Support and Assistance.

 

Your behavior on that thread was thoroughly unacceptable and all of your IP's are proxies. If you have nothing to hide, get of your proxy. Until then, denied.
