Ban Appeal for Dark Man X

I got banned for supposedly scamming:

The trade was :

My Account for His $220 + Account.

We made the trade successfully on Msn, he was happy, said the trade went well etc. Proof :

Then he said, be back later, going to tutoring, he signed back on Msn roughly 2 hours later, and started complaining 'The account you sold me is recovered, etc etc.'

I did not recover the account, so I had no idea what he was talking about, I do not even have enough information to recover it, as I bought the account a while back. He also claimed, He never changed the password to the account since he bought it *who the hell would not change the password*? The only reason he would say this is because I told him I am unable to recover the account myself, so he said he left the password the same (as that would be the only way for me to get the account back)

He said to me 'If you did not recover the account, then recover it and give me the new password' - I said, 'Ok'

I had to contact the original owner to get it recovered, I contacted him, and the account was recovered about 2 days later, I logged in to the account to see 460M in Junk. It was very clear what he had done, he tried to frame me.

He bought the account, sold all of his Junk to it, then claimed I had recovered it and so on.

I also bought a disk off pokemoners2, vouch is in my signature, to get rid of the remaining Junk.

 

Why didn't you get all the information from the original owner before you bought it?

 

I bought this account a very long time ago, I did not know about recoveries, and thought it would be safe if it had no email and no recoveries, the owner only gave me little information, I do not know whether he has every piece of information either, but it can be recovered from his IP

 

Just posting to say I've traded Dark Man X a few times before and have never had problems with him. He's legit.

I don't know if this will mean anything, but in the last few days, I have Middlemanned, and been in possession of many partyhats, including:

Blue Partyhat, White Partyhat, Red Partyhat, Purple Partyhat.

If I was a scammer, and knew I was guilty in this situation, I could've easily scammed any of those partyhats, which range from $100 (Purple) to $650 (Blue Phat)

I am not a scammer, you can also look through my vouches, to see I am legit.

All that is irrelevant. If the owner can successfully recover the account, why did he not give you all that information when he sold it to you?

 

Original Owners can recover accounts mainly because of the IP's.

If I create an account, and know barely information on it, I will still be able to recover it. I used to have a main account, which I made about 5 years ago, I do not know the creation date, first few passwords, etc, but I was still able to recover the account, by asking Jagex to match the creation date and the IP to the recovery is being made from.

I don't believe the owner has all the information, when a new member buys an account, you need every information to recover it, and to play on it for a while, then tell Jagex you have moved locations.

The main reason I don't do "recovery tests" is exactly for this.

 

It is still your responsibility for the account as you chose to sell it. You will either have to refund the amount for the account or come to another compromise with the buyer.

 

In the end I got the account recovered, and it had 460M worth of Junk items, he has scammed me and attempted to set me up, why do I need to give a full refund?

 

The same could be said for the seller, so I think we should leave out the 460M part, regardless of who we think is at fault as there is no way to tell who did it.

Also, however, if Dark had chosen to ignore the buyer, it would've been clear that he had tried to scam. I don't like how Dark decided to sell such a valuable account without even being able to recover it himself. @Dark: Can you get the original owner to recover it back?

 

We've settled this over MSN. Dark has been unbanned.
