And, if I may add to my original thread; it was wrong of Finn to edit my post and give me a ban. The more appropriate course of action would have been to post on the the thread, requesting that I remove the picture and/or sending me a PM doing the same. If swallowing his pride is too hard for Finn, then the next best thing would have been to just edit my post and remove the image. No locking of the thread or infraction needed. Posting an image of someone is not against the rules, nor has it ever been.

And, Finn, if I'm assuming correctly, is the only moderator who would have done what he did. Matthew, Pen, and Ryan would have been more mature about it. As would the rest of the moderating team.

If you've been here long enough, you might remember when Cruel__Machine was still active and created a funny image using Sythe's picture. Not only did he post it without Sythe's permission [gasp! amirite?] but he altered it. If you have not seen it, or need a refresher, here it is.

Now, if Sythe, wished to ban anyone for posting images of himself, I could completely understand it being he is the owner of the site, and in the end, the buck stops with him.

In my objectively honest opinion, which has been formed over a lengthy period of time, Finn on the other hand is incompetent of moderating this site. From his past scamming adventures to this current bull shit, it's time he gets knocked off his high horse and some real justice is done.

 

I don't think I'm incompetent of moderating this site. I've been a staff member for over 2 years and have a wealth of experience in moderating the site. You are welcome to your own opinion, but whether or not I am an effective staff member is irrelevant.

I banned you without warning, granted, but here is your warning for future reference: do not post pictures or personal information about any member without their permission. Doing so innocently and jovially in the way that Cruel__Machine did is okay (though permission should still be granted), but doing it in petty response to an infraction is simply childish and petty.

Given that no warning was given, and, as you've pointed out, it is not discussed in the rules, your ban is reversed this time. It is now written into the rules.
