    Disputing a ban..

    In regards to : http://sythe.org/showthread.php?p=10126222#post10126222

In the PM I Specifically stated that if he didn't let me apply the pin myself, h eis to be held responsible, unless he has real evidence. That picture isn't valid, as he could have used the code, refreshed the page then just tried re-entering it.

99% Of pin sellers will either ask you to do it over teamviewer or to have your user and password. I don't use teamviewer, but if he had suggested it rather then me having his password, I would have done it.

To my knowledge, that pin was working. I bought a bunch of them using my families phones a while ago, and havent used them as I haven't had a need for cash making with no bots.

Also, he doesn't even have a picture that the trade was successful.. I don't get why this warranted a ban.

    Disputing a ban..

I asked the person to do it over MSN, which im pretty sure in one of my PM's it says me asking for his MSN, and he said just to do it over RS. I'm sure if you unban me temporarily, or go through that sequence of PM's, you could see that for yourselves.

What do you mean I shouldn't be selling pins on here? There's an upgrading section for it..I bought those upgrades a few months ago, and do to bots failing, and me discovering staking was much better, i just never used them and put then in a notepad file for me to use on my main account. Seeing as someone was buying it, and I had recently just used my credit card to make membership, I decided to make some money off them.

Could a mod add me on MSN before closing this? [email protected]

Before reading, could you please add my MSN so we could discuss this without me having to wait for the thread to be approved, then the staff wasting their time? Would be much simpler..

I didn't even know I couldn't sell a pin. I'm obviously not a normal upgrade buyer / seller as I buy my own membership, and this was the first time I have ever sold an upgrade. If you look at the person who reported me, the thread he made about buying pins was in the GP selling section of the market, not upgrades, so I didn't even read the rules. Also, I asked of him to give me his runescape account so I could upgrade it myself, which is also shown in my PM messages..

Please just add my MSN so I could proove this.. [email protected]

    Disputing a ban..

I'm re-opening this dispute and shifting it back to an active status as I believe it was mishandled.

I'll be taking a look at it now, but first of all - Costa, the reason we changed the names of the Pins Section and began calling them "Upgrades" is so we didn't get into any legal strife over the matter. Calling them upgrades in public simply labels it as a service, and the forum is treated as such.

He traded a pin, yes, but it was over PM and private - so there should be no problems there. Not to mention that we wouldn't keep someone banned for publicly selling a pin in the first place, we would merely infract them for ignoring the stickies. He did post saying he had pins for sale, but that post should have simply been infracted or the thread closed - Reference: http://sythe.org/showthread.php?p=10118918#post10118918

I'm going to take a look at the dispute now regarding his ban - rather than keeping him banned on smaller things.

He did the trade onsite, which is what Richard explicitly states is a bannable offense.

    Disputing a ban..

    http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=910455

Typically this is what many of us have ever gone by, and maybe escalate it to a temporary ban at most for repeat offenders.

Sythe's post was buried deep within a discussion, and all members have to go by is the rules outlined in the section as well as in the Sythe.org rules.
While there is clearly a sticky outlining that they are not to trade "Pins", it doesn't inform the user that they will be permanently banned if they trade a Pin over PM.
I honestly think a bit of leniency has to be given in this kind of situation, and I may talk to Matthew or Richard in order to clear this whole confusing kerfuffle up - as ambiguity around the topic is never good, and getting definite answers from them would help ^_^

Up to you guys of what you think. I was going off what Sythe said, but if the rules have changed I'll go with it. It's probably best to pm Sythe or Mathew about it and get it cleared up anyhow.

    Disputing a ban..

There is no solidifying evidence that it was a fake/invalid pin, and it could have simply been used already by the member. Refuni, the member who originally filed a scam report on Herbeneering has since been banned - which is an obvious sign of bad character and therefore his word can not be taken as 100% truth. As Refuni decided to apply the pin himself he voided his protection against scamming or complications - and consequently his report should have not held any legitimacy.

Herbeneering will be given the benefit of the doubt, as there's not enough proof to warrant his original ban - he has already served enough punishment for breaking the rule against the "sale of pins" on Sythe.
