Gold exchange ban.

i was banned for 'not' buying gold that wasn't mine? i was banned from the gold exchange because i was buying gold for another person (lynn) who was banned for having 2 accounts on 1 ip address (they're a company) so i volunteered to do so by buying him gold, he said i can re sell them gold for ,54/m and i can buy it here for ,50/m but i declined and just took it as a favor, and i got market banned from gold exchange, i would like nick to handle this please... i dont think this is even a crime..

 

I'd prefer if whoever banned him handle the case as they already know what's going on. Thanks!

Alright. You were buying gold directly for Lynn (sythe name idk?) who was in 1 of those chineese gold shops who was banned for self vouching etc etc blah blah

Finding customers and then adding Lyn in on the msn conversation to accept the gold and pay for it etc etc

In other words, you are facilitating complicated ban evasion. We banned them for a reason, and we won't allow them to use others as a proxy to get their stuff, they need to go elsewhere.

 

May I ask how long Star_Scream's ban is for?

It seems like an easy enough mistake to make, assuming of course that Star_Scream didn't really know who Lynn was and why s/he was banned. I think a temporary ban (1 month?) from Gold Exchange would be reasonable to serve as a warning not to help facilitate rule breakers from continuing to break rules.

However, I can also see why this can be considered a huge problem. A banned user can basically evade through a friend of his to continue to scam. There is explanation for a perm ban, I'm just not entirely sure if we need to be so harsh. I'd guess that well over half of all money traded on Sythe is done in that particular forum.

 

i never added him to convo, i took the gold had him send, he told me he was banned for having multiple accounts on 1 ip, and never went any further with that; and i didn't know that was breaking a rule, im sorry :/

 

Unbanning you from the gold exchange now. DO NOT buy for those banned people or you won't be here, period.
