Jay Zee's Ban Appeal

Hi there,

First of all, I apologise for not making this thread sooner while it was fresh in everyone's minds - I have been ridiculously busy with work. I decided to post in the format dictated by Finn, because frankly I'm not a fan of long-winded and boring disputes. There is a "TL;DR" section at the bottom if you're in a rush. Also, any spelling errors are due to the so-called "spellchecker" that is the bane of my life on my phone.

Note: This appeal is longer than I expected. If I would be better off under the circumstances posting it in the High Pardon section, please let me know.

State why you were banned: Interest in purchasing hacked/recovered items.

State why ban was unwarranted:

I know that nobody likes reading a long and boring dispute, so I'll attempt to be as succinct as I can.
I was banned a week (ish) ago for posting on a thread where the creator was selling items from an account that was either phished or hacked. It was a stupid thing to do, but I was in a rush looking for someone to sell me 300M RSGP for a price I could afford. It was simply one of those things where you don't think about what you're doing due to your mind being in the clouds. In my defence, I did in fact link Farcast to the thread via MSN, where he temporarily banned the creator. I had ample opportunity to edit my post, but basically I'm an idiot and left it untouched.

Anyway. I apologise for what I did, and I feel that a permanent ban for one mistake seems unwarranted. I don't know whether this influenced the "permanent" part of the ban, but I have been banned once before, for 3 months for a separate reason. However, during that time I never once ban evaded or created a new account.

The promised "TL;DR" section, with added points:

- I am permanently banned
- I do not dispute that I posted on the thread; However, I feel that a permanent ban is a harsh punishment
- I linked Farcast to the thread in question via MSN after I had already posted on it - I also had plenty of time to hide/edit my post, which I didn't do
- I feel that I am a valuable member of the site - I have made several trades totalling over $1,000 in value, the majority of which have been buying
- I have never scammed, although I have been scammed for a large amount on a single trade which Greg OMM'ed
- Basically I'm requesting either an unban with infractions added to my account or a relatively short ban



If you need to contact me about anything, I suppose posting here would be the best way. Several staff members have my MSN, but I prefer not to post it publicly + it's extremely finicky anyway.

There is no excuse, the title of the thread stated the account was hacked.
