Disputing ban#2 - jacob situation

The previous reasons provided by n4no were cleared up.
I'm assuming whoever banned me didn't know of this

I've spoken to both Superfluous and TTB about this situation. I've told them my side of the story and said I will refund if required of me. They still haven't given a final decision as they've been busy with other stuff.

As I said earlier to you in Skype. The ban was unwarranted in the first place, because I was willing to refund and the discussion of where I stood was being discussed with 2 other mods.

He gave me all details of the account. Before the account holder received anything in return, I linked the buyer's email to the Runescape account. The buyer did not know any other details (user log-in and pass), so I assumed it'd be okay and was just a faster way of trading, rather than changing the e-mail to my own first.

Either I was wrong, or somehow the other guy had details to the account (the buyer and seller may have had a private conversation)

The guy somehow stole the account and changed the password, I am assuming this because I had changed the password to my own and I only knew it, I tried logging into it and it did not work. It is confirmed he stole the account because later he was on another Sythe account selling the same rs account.

Jacob requested a recovery but he said it did not go through, which is weird as they usually do due to IPs.

Tbh there's a possibility they're working together and that's how he recovered the account using known details with their friend. There's also a possibility Jacob's recovery went through.

But if you can actually recover accounts with just an e-mail attatched to it (can't think of a way thats possible rn) then it's completely my fault and I will refund if required of me as I have said before to TTB and Superfluous

Just let me know where I stand and i'm willing to cooperate.

Edit: the previous offences listed in his ban reason are void, as he's been unbanned for those and explained so.

 

If Jacob is the owner of his account, there's no reason he can't just recover it even without the email registered. He just has to put in a request saying a hacker got it or he can reach out to a jmod on twitter or one of the many other ways to get in contact. If the buyer has no other info on the account this should be an easy recover.

That being said, slashz should have held onto the knife before giving the buyer ANY account information. If you have your own email registered to an rs account you can change the password any time

 

Fine, even if this is the case. It was an honest mistake, I told the guy to recover and everything and to tell me how it went. I come online the next day to see he has reported me as a scammer. I was anyways planning to make a report to ask the mods where I stand but since he made one I didn't see the need. The same day Superfluous asked me my input to it, I explained everything and said I was willing to refund. TTB knows of this too. They never came to a final decision, I PMed on Sythe and Skype. All of this happened BEFORE my ban

I'm still confused as to why I was banned when I had said I was willing to refund, confirmed by two other mods, for a mistake.

 

If I'm not mistaken, this isn't a scam case.. it's a case where someone has messed up and was awaiting an outcome and would do as instructed.

I think the original owner of the account should try and recover it. If proof is shown that he couldn't recover it then it sounds like Slashz is willing to repay it.

 

I'll contact the seller for proof he cannot recover the account.

 

Can I give the money to a mod to hold and get unbanned?

If he has the recovery proof, you guys pay him if not, refund me, or decide what to do with the money


Really don't feel like waiting a few more days for him to reply. The mods also have a really tight schedule

I've been contacted by this user for a progress report. He's losing business daily, and it seems is not guilty of any offense.
