[N4N0]Disputing a ban - c4rnage

It's kind of blowing my mind that I'm even having to submit this ban appeal.

In the report which was put in against me, screenshots were provided. The accusation was that I was selling hacked accounts. In the screenshots, it mentions NOTHING about hacked accounts. It mentions I am selling items which were obtained from a PRIVATE EXPLOIT (the charity corner exploit). None of the items I had up for sale were hacked from user accounts, nor was there any sort of proof to assume that were the case. There is no rule in the Neopets trading section about selling exploited items. It mentions that hacked, bruteforced, etc accounts are not to be sold, which I in fact was NOT selling. It's very clear the person who submitted this report against me was upset he had some competition in sales, and nothing more than that.

Please look into this issue, as it's very obvious from the evidence that I was not breaking any rules in selling my items.

 

Private exploit and hacked items. There isn't much of a difference. You used an exploit to steal other users items.

Unless I'm missing something?

 

Extremely sorry for having to make a thread, but I wasn't able to reply to you otherwise.

The exploit I'm referring to was called the Charity Corner Exploit. The charity corner was a public event hosted by TNT. The way it worked, is you donated 5 toys of a certain rarity, and you would receive an item of equal rarity back. I found an exploit where you could donate ANY kind of item, and receive an item back. This method did not involve other users in any way, shape or form.

 

Can you prove it?

 

I don't know how I'm really supposed to prove it, lol.

I don't see the pictures of the items you're selling? I'm not familiar with Neopets, so my bad if I simply missed it.

If you look at that link I sent you (the jellyneo link) it contains a list of the categories of items given out in the event. On my sales thread, I have the following for sale:

r99 Stamps
Meridell Food (the Draik Eggs. Light blue/spotted egg)
Petpets (the Crocodile looking pet, Candy pet, etc)

All of those items were given out from the Charity event. It's really, REALLY hard to explain this to someone who doesn't know anything about Neopets.

 

I'll ask N4N0 to look into this as he knows far more about Neopets than I do.

 

This FAR surpasses any knowledge I have left of neopets unfortunately....

Thank you for researching the legitimacy of all this, ASAPgang. I really do appreciate it.

@Sellerman, this will hopefully help to clear things up.

On the website I linked (jellyneo), they are a fan website who compiles information about Neopets and posts it for others to use as reference. The Charity Corner went on for one month publicly (the month of December). I was able to exploit it and continue taking advantage of the event past that time. Since the event gave out items of EVERY rarity in the event, they don't list specific items which were given out. As a reference of what you could have gotten, they instead listed item categories (which I posted above). Here are a few images which will link the item categories to the items in which I am selling.




As you can see, every item for sale in that thread is from the charity corner.

I have been a part of the Neopets/other game cheating community, on various forums for about 10-11 years now. Never once have I had a negative mark on my reputation, as any research using my alias will show. I have never sold items to a user which was later frozen/removed for illegitimacy to date. I've dealt with tens of thousands of dollars worth of these items over the years I've been a part of thee communities. That being said, my character does not reflect an individual who tries to rip people off or sell items which I have a reason to believe will cause problems with other users I trade with. With trading ANY neopets item, confirmed to be duped, exploit, bruteforced or legitimate, there is of course ALWAYS the risk of something going wrong, as trading in general is discouraged and against the terms of service for these games. I have provided a legitimate and secure service for all of my buyers for years now.

If need be, I am very good friends with administrators/moderators/well known traders throughout the Neopets community, and can have any additional persons vouch my legitimacy, and accuracy of my statements if absolutely necessary.
